New Basketball Coach has the team playing well.
Have beat some top 10 ranked teams but also have lost some.

But it is nice to see the team doing so well so early in the first year of the new coach.

====

The Football team.
Was happy they finally got rid of HC N.Brown. He was a good person but just could not get it done.
I was wanting a different HC to be hired.
However they brought back Rich Rod. He is a good coach, but with questionable character over the years.

One good thing though is the boosters, former players and alumni have really rallied behind him. The NIL program has really picked up and they have been getting a lot of good players from the portal.
Just have to see if it pays off on the field the next few years.

I say this because many times it seemed like WVU was having some issues like the Cowboys.

Now we have to see who the new Cowboys Coach will be. Although I think it will be harder for the Cowboys Coach to turn things around because of the constant of Jerry and Stephen.

The basketball hire was a slam dunk. Team is back in the top 25 after a monster win over a great ISU team. Gonna have a real shot once the Tourney starts to hit the Sweet 16.

Rich Rod will be a great hire if he can recruit Florida as well as he did previously. Neal Brown was the Tech OC under Pine Box Tubs and man I hated that offense. We were spoiled on offense then got that tragic Nascar mess.
One thing to really feel good about is getting Penn State off the schedule next year. Pitt is a great rivalry that lets you play 10 P4 games. Adding PSU on top of that was just masochism.

We knew Neal was getting fired before the Tech game was played. Probably why that game was such a blowout.

You guys have a solid coach. The win at Kansas was big too. I'm a Syracuse guy but always pulled for you guy when we weren't playing you.

I'm originally from DFW, but I've lived in Morgantown off and on since 2011, and permanently since 2015. Naturally, I have alot of friends/co-workers that are die hard WVU fans, and my wife is originally from here. The optimism for the bball program is through the roof, and I liked the hire as well. Football on the other hand? very much 50/50, as predicted. You either love the good ol Rich Rod years so much, everything else doesnt matter, or you hate him so much for the betrayal, none of the success he had matters anymore. But either way, its all exciting and I cant wait. I'm a Longhorns fan (so glad they dont play eachother anymore) first, but I do root for WVU as well, So Let's Go!

I do have to say one thing though, I will never like, or get behind, the Country Roads song, I cant stand it.
