on the Cowboys pregame show that if the Boys and Atlanta lose today, the Cowboys are in the playoffs, tie breaker deal.

We are in regardless because we are going to win, all 4 remaining games, so that we can shut up all the naysayers, go into the post season on a roll, and to put fear in all the playoff teams, and on top of that we can keep that slide that the giants just started going to where we can also end up taking the division again this season.

Exactly. They were ahead cause we had more losses in the NFC. Pitt is obviously AFC, so we're good regardless.

This appears to be true. Well that's good to know.

Atlanta losing today was huge for us. If they (vs. Tampa) and the Commanders (vs. Giants) lose next week, I think we can go 2-2 and make the playoffs.

It's already been discussed .. the falcons lost an NFC game and if the Cowboys were to lose, it would be a non-conference game so the first two tie-breakers (overall win-loss and conference win-loss) would be even and it would go to a third tie-breaker in common opponents which the Cowboys have a better record.

...and you're forgetting the Commanders. If they win out they're 11-5.

No one is talking about the end of the season .. simply after this week's games are played. The Falcons could win out and if the Cowboys lose two games, they would again be out of the playoffs.

There are many scenarios where the Cowboys won't make the playoffs, but after this week's games, even if the Cowboys lose to Pittsburg, they will have the last wildcard spot. Next week, things can change ..

Damn. I just realized that. The only game they may slip up on is against Washington who've been stinking it up lately. That Week #17 matchup just got alot more interesting.

If the Cowboys lose, the Eagles are no better off because the Cowboys have the last playoff spot now and the team right after them (Atlanta) is tied with them.

The Eagles will have to win out and get help to get into the playoffs.

lol well I only made the point because we are playing them in Philly at the end of the season, and there was talk in the beginning of the thread about dropping 2 games and being okay. truth is, we are not.
