round 1 - immediate starter that reaches potential quickly
round 2 - starter in 2nd year
round 3 - starter
late round 4 - the best pick
round 6 - becomes the starter later in rookie year
round 6 comp/round 7 - pet cat that becomes big player the next year

Hopeful similarities between 2016 and 2017
  • No major injuries to Dak or Zeke
  • We win the NFC East

Ryan Switzer is the best pick? I don't think so

Have to agree. The potential is there for this to happen.

yes on dak and zeke
superbowl or bust
let loser teams like the eagles worry about the nfc east - who cares

best pick, not best player
could have starter-like impact from game 1
could provide 10x5 yards of field position per game.
dak friendly receiver
could complement beasley rather than just backup beasley
of course has to show he can take a nfl level hit, and see his return game translate at the next level

My personal opinion is this team will take a step back from last year. no just because of the record, but because there is a flock of rookies joining the team. To assume they will produce in a manner which advances the team this coming season may be far and away too optimistic since not one of these new players will immediately have the understanding of the league and the game itself to pull their own weight. Thgere are just too many variables which come to play that suggest this year will not be anything like last year.

I am prepared for this to be a 9-7 or 10-6 team, with a future bright enough to bring home some hardware at the end of several seasons.

Hope I am wrong.
