that’s tough. That safety was in position to intercept that ball and he gets taken out by a ref

yeah but you had 2 vikes on the WR who were coming at him in which he had to get out of their way and collided with single vike coming on up the opposite direction.

Brad Allen’s Impact on Packers vs Cowboys

Brad Allen is the head referee for the Packers vs Cowboys Week 10 game. Let’s break down how Allen may impact this game and betting markets.

How does Brad Allen Impact this Game?

Packers vs Cowboys is the marquee Sunday afternoon game. Green Bay is the home underdog, something we haven’t seen in a long time. If there is one positive for Green Bay this week, it’s that Brad Allen is officiating. He brings one of the best home-field records of any NFL referee, particularly with home underdogs.

Overall Penalties/Roughing the Passer/Unnecessary Roughness

The Packers have been one of the least penalized teams over the past few seasons. In 2022, they’re in the top half of overall penalties per game. However, in their three games at Lambeau Field this season, the Packers are being penalized significantly less at just 4.3 per game
Brad Allen is calling just 44% of penalties on home teams in 2022. The Packers will win the penalty count on Sunday. It’s not much, but they need every advantage they can get this week

Roughing the passer penalties are down in 2022 compared to 2021, but the Cowboys are still one of the most penalized teams in this category
Brad Allen has only called four unnecessary roughness penalties in 2022. Two of those were on the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2 vs the Bengals. Something to keep an eye on vs the Packers

The Bottom Line:

Home teams with Brad Allen officiating are 58-42-2 ATS (58%) since the start of the 2016 season, including 5-2 ATS in 2022
Home underdogs like the Packers on Sunday are 22-12-1 ATS (65%) in that span, including 2-1 in the 2022 season
There isn’t a lot to like about Green Bay going into this game. We’re looking at it from an officiating angle and that’s one of the few positives for the Packers. Home teams with Allen have a remarkable record compared with most crews over the past 6 seasons, particularly home underdogs.

The play is the Packers +5.5 against the Cowboys.

I did not see it. I will say what does it say about the fan who actually thinks the game is rigged and yet still watches it? I know if I believed the games were not on the up and up, I would not watch it. Do I thing there are bad calls oh yeah, but are there bad inceptions by QB? fumbles by RB, blown coverages by secondaries or bad calls by coaches? Oh yeah. These are humans and make mistakes.
Yet when said QB repeatedly throws interceptions or said RB repeatedly loses fumbles or whatnot they hit the bench or are released or are singled out as part of the problem. Show me thecl last time the league has singled out one of these moron officials over a blatantly bad call. Try never. Or close to never. And don't tell me "oh they don't get to officiate in the playoffs if they are bad". By then over the course of 17 games how many losses have they contributed to by their incompetence? It's a joke.

I think if Packers going into the game are counting on the refs to save them then things have gotten pretty bad in GB. lol

The point is they are human doing a damn tough job and make mistakes. Fact is fans in all sport complain about the ref or the umpire. Yet if put in the same situation where they had to call a game they could do no better and many would do worse. No doubt it is a thankless job and a very difficult one at that.

It's going by the point spread so not necessarily means winning. This crew is good about keeping underdogs at home close enough to cover the spread.

Yet most games are close and within the spread. You clearly have the occasional blow outs but for the most part games are determined more often by 7 points or less. We already know home teams get 2.5 points within the spread just for being at home.

They are comparing all the crews and this crew literally sticks out for it.

022 Detroit Lions Philadelphia Eagles Referee 38 10 61 35 7 65
September 18, 2022 Dallas Cowboys Cincinnati Bengals Referee 17 7 35 20 5 45
October 3, 2022 San Francisco 49ers Los Angeles Rams Referee 9 1 5 24 4 25
October 9, 2022 New Orleans Saints Seattle Seahawks Referee 32 12 85 39 6 57
October 16, 2022 Kansas City Chiefs Buffalo Bills Referee 24 7 35 20 5 58
October 24, 2022 New England Patriots Chicago Bears Referee 33 4 35 14 4 30
October 30, 2022 Minnesota Vikings Arizona Cardinals Referee 26 10 67 34 10 86

that is just this season but all of these were going to be close games, I'm sorry I don't think the crew mattered these were still good matchups that were going to come down to the wire.

because we started out blowing out the bears and guess what 3p4 bad calls and 2-3 missed calls in row, did what?? let them nearly make a come back..that what we are discussion., refs controlling the score to keep viewers watching longer and spreads more realistic..

sound like conspiracy but IF refs are that bad, either bad or acting on mandates from the league office. both are VERY bad looks.
I have never done the research but would be interested in seeing games point spreads and obvious bad or missed calls. And then see if teams makes the spread at the end. I have seen games where you know Parsons has 2-3 more sacks if not being held. And held he was. Bent over backwards at times right in front of the ref. Same with D-Law. But also what pissed me off was the game D-Law had the 3 sacks, he had 2 more where he just didn’t wrap the qb up. And was held badly on one. But D-Law had a easy 5 sacks in that game but didn’t hang on..

Nationally televised game that they have been hyping.

I promise calls are made to keep it close.

Exactly,,, whoever the underdog will get a little TLC from the officials, at least in the first half, so that the game can stay competitive. This is where having a closer QB is a huge advantage as well as a strong defense.

Oh please! Show us the punishments that "supposedly" happen to these lawyers and librarians or give us full time dedicated officials. But your fair play league doesn't want that or they would have made this change years ago

The only blowout happening in Lambeau this Sunday is in Brad Allen's arm.
