Hopefully Romo got this out of his system

That might be the only down side to winning the game. If we had lost, maybe it would have sunk into Tony that he has to maintain his discipline and level of play. I just hope that SOB and everyone else gets on his butt this week about not doing it again. So many of his passes were just putrid- he made VINNY look good the first half last night. He made Hutch look all world. He made Ryan Leaf look like Manning.

Emmitt in post-game said he thought Romo came out a little too hyped up and overexcited to make something happen and made mistakes.

When he tried to slow it down, he made more mistakes. Kinda agree with his analysis. On a couple of those throws it looked like it took forever for the ball to get where it was going. Not Romoesque by any means.

Hopefully, he'll turn it around next week.

I was half asleep watching the game this side of the pond, but from what I could make out, Tony didn't take the underneath stuff which the defense was giving him.

It seemed the outside WRs were often helped out, but the middle was open- esp to the RBs/FBs.

End of the game he did take advantage, however.

I thought the middle was open early and he twice tried to hit Witten there but misfired. Maybe the reason we don't score points in the first quarter is that Romo gets overhyped and needs settle down. That of course will come as he continues to gain experience and playing time.

Romo wasn't helped out by the running game. Did we even get 100 yards? Yes I realize it was mainly his fault but he still had to put the ball up 50 times -- way to often to have success. Next year we must add a good RB to replace Jones.

That's exactly what happened. Romo was way too hyped to start this game. And then he overcompensated.

It didn't help that we weren't focusing on what the Bills were giving-- the short passes.

Our offensive game plan was a bit too aggressive with the down the field stuff.

The Bills shut off the run and the deep pass.

Our field postion generally sucked--- it wasn't condusive to a good running game. And then the Bills played many over-loaded fronts. We should have focused more on short passes to be our running game.

Looks like the Bills gameplan was to make us dink and dunk to score rather than 15-25 yard completions in one go (which is what we've been doing a lot of).

Let's hope this has been a good learning experience . . . .

He did something I have not seen him do in a long time: stare down receivers. He was a little rattled. Had Garrett called some dink and dunk routes, he may have settled down.

I'm glad we were able to win a game where Tony (hopefully) learned some of his toughest lessons. It's also good for him to have the experience of playing under such duress, in hostile conditions, with the fans chanting his name and everything going wrong. That was the Bills Superbowl of 2007, so in some ways it was like Romo got an additional game of playoff experience under his belt last night.

The players are behind Romo I doubt they are going jump on him.
