Moses, Kouandijo, Mewhort, Sua-Filo, Jackson, and Botonio are all possibilities for teams in the second round. The best thing that could happen is for teams to start going on a run on these guys pushing those DL down to our 2nd and third round spot.

Starting at 7PM I will be hoping for all of those guys to be picked up.

You need to hope a few teams like Atlanta that need a pass rusher decide to go with a TE or other spots.

I don't think either Mewhort or Jackson will go but the rest I have confidence in going.

Yes, that makes sense.

The only negative about the Martin pick for me is that now my pet cats are probably not an option (Billy and Trai Turner). They could still consider Brandon Thomas is he is available late.

One or two teams picking DL is not the end of the world. There are several DL still out there that can help us. I am just thinking in how teams in the last have behaved snatching up OL en masse and hoping for a repeat of that. If the that happens then there is a good chance of DL value being there at both our picks.

I think they are still in play walker. I mean, I project Martin to Guard, which means that we are still probably considering options at OT. If the right defensive personnel are not there, then I think the team would consider best value on either side of the ball.

Yes, if things fall a certain way they could be the BPA, but it's makes it much less likely.

Martn's ability to play either OT or OG could have an effect on their mindset.

I keep thinking about Parnell (and maybe Weems) after the Martin pick, I know he is a favorite of yours as well. The conventional wisdom is that Martin spends a year at ROG before replacing Free, but I keep thinking that if Parnell develops like they hoped they could leave Martin at OG and still have a dominant OL.

I would like to see a lot of Weems in the preseason. They had him at LT in almost all snaps in the 2013 preseason, but probably need to see him at RT this year.

I assume that they won't let Parnell replace Free because they're paying Free and I think his salary is guaranteed for 2014; however, I would really like for them to give Parnell snaps during the season to see if he is really an option to replace Free. They really should have found a way to get him snaps in 2013.

It's good that Martin gives them options at RT, but I think he can be a Pro Bowl Guard but just average at OT.

A run at WR and RB would be helpful as well. Also, hope Carr goes quickly. Raiders maybe?

I don't know how I feel about Martin at RT. I don't like the idea of a young OLman switching positions. Going RT to LT is one thing but OG to RT is another. Plus, I feel like Martin can be an All Pro OG and an above average RT. I'd rather take Brandon Thomas in the 5th and have him replace Free next year.

I think the Cowboys would prefer to keep Martin at OG.

while I agree, his ability to play both provides more options in next year's draft...love the flexibility he provides in more than one way

i think Billy could still be in play in the 3rd possibly but we'd have to do defense in the 2nd to make that logical. he could be an option as a RT future player which would let us keep martin at guard.

the main issue is going to be that we still need a lot of defensive help, so it would have to be a scenario where he is the highest rated player.

I think the big run will be on the remaining top DL.
Jernigan
Elay
Crichton
Lawrance
Will all most certainly be snatched up very quickly

Yes, if they don't find a replacement for Free this year, then having Martin will keep them from trying to force the issue of replacing Free with a free agent or draft pick.

I don't think he will make it to the Cowboys 3rd round pick.

I think I'm higher on Martin at OT than you and XWalker, but do like him more at OG. I just like the idea of a Martin at OG and (starting in 2015) a physically dominant guy in Parnell starting next to him. I'm already in love with the side of Smith-Leary-Fred starting for the next 5 years.

I dont think it will be an issue and Free will be the starter in 2014, but from a quick web search it looks like Free's contract is not guaranteed for this year.
