I know I know this is a long ways off, but I would for sure like the Eagles to be locked into whatever playoff spot they are going to get by the time we play them Week 17 on the off chance that we are 9-6 going into it (which I don't think is that crazy of an idea, we will likely be favored in our next 3 games). With the way the Vikings and Saints have been playing, the only way I see this happening is if we play the night game. So looking (admittedly way) ahead here are the games on the Week 17 slate that might get the nod

Our game, two teams fighting for a playoff spot... and oh yea they are the Eagles and Cowboys 2 of the biggest markets especially with the Dak vs Wentz saga.

Chargers vs Raiders, might be for division the way that division is going... but... it's the Chargers vs the Raiders, not exactly your most anticipated game.

Titans vs Jags, see above

Falcons vs Panthers, if by some crazy chance the Falcons haven't gotten 7 losses by this point, both teams might be playing for a wild card, and while not your biggest markets they both generate a lot of interest around the league

So yea, I think it's most likely we play Sunday Night Week 17, which I think might be a very good thing. Any other thoughts?

Best we can be going into that game is 9-6. If Dak doesn't play a lot better than he has, we will be done in Oakland.

11-6?

Excellent math

Assuming it's Seattle that we are dueling it out with I would assume that NBC would go with Arizona at Seattle. You still get one team trying to play their way in, but you also get the other team actually trying to stop them instead of resting starters.

But NBC won't know in advance if the Eagles will be resting their starters. Mostly likely the Vikings, Eagles, Saints, and possibly the Rams will all be dueling for playoff positioning, it's just what happens in those earlier games that can make it over by the time we play.

They don't know that they won't, either. They can be relatively certain that the Cardinals won't be resting their starters, though. They have to make the call Sunday night of week 16 so sometimes try as they might the final game still ends up meaningless.

True, but the game might be for nothing by that point if we are 10-6 and they are eliminated. Generally not a good idea to show a week 17 game with no playoff implications

Edit, yea my first logic wasn't so good, it's late lol.

No Monday night games or Thursday night games, but yea there is always a sunday night game... and we get it 9 times out of 10 when we are in the playoff hunt lol.

Cowboys will be 9-6 playing the 10-5 Eagles for the NFC East crown. ;)

There's a good chance that the Raider- Charger game will be for the division. I bet that will end up being the NBC game in Week 17.

Agreed... but... it's Raiders Chargers. Just saying, not exactly the biggest fan bases even with the Chargers having moved.
