Hopkins student kills intruder with samurai sword, police say

Can't believe the intruder lunged for the guy, who was holding a samurai sword.

Did the thought of this being a terrible move, ever pop up in his mind?

I took my compound bow with me one time when I heard a guy around my truck. I told him that when he took off running he better be zig zagging.

His knees buckled.

He had a true cutting sword not all swords you see people practice with can cut they have iaido which are metal but dull blades and have weight too them so you can learn to swing and not cut your leg off while you learn your strikes etc. Heck even a good iaido can cost you 350-2k

A decent cutting sword will cost you about a 1k-2k and depending on if you want a traditional hand made katana one where they pray and mediate etc before they make them (there is a history behind all that) you can spend 10k easy.

Know the truth I have a 9mm but sometimes I take my Bokken wooden sword or jo with me on scouting stuff sometimes I take the 9mm just depends

My friend took ninjitsu training. She heard a noise around her place one night and grabbed her katana. She never figured out what the sound was, but she was prepared if it was an intruder.

As long as there are fewer than 100 intruders, I'm pretty well covered with my Calico. :p:

What is that?

Looks like something from Perfect Dark (N64. 360 version was ****)

Do you have one really?

How do you like it if so?

I generally take my shotgun. I've found most people do not want to chance a shotgun.

Yeah, you probably don't need training to take care of an unarmed guy while wielding a sword. It's non like you're going to hear a rustle and go outside and there are 3 ninjas waiting for you.

Oh, get real...

If there are ninjas outside, you're not gonna hear a rustle... :D

It's a Calico 9mm, with the 100 round magazine.

Yes, I got it for Christmas from my wife. :D

It's a lot of fun to shoot. I've only taken it out a few times to target shoot it, but it has good accuracy, and is surprisingly light considering it's loaded down with 100 9mm rounds.

But it's very smooth, doesn't jam at all, and is just really tough to beat from a "coolness" factor.

The guy got robbed of 2 laptops and a PS3 a couple days before or something. Why WOULDNT you think your getting robbed again if he heard a rustle in the house?

can you imagine what the count would say if the guy had shot the perp?

Swords and knives are so much cooler than guns...and much more manly.

I feel for anyone that breaks in my house. I got knives stashed everywhere.:laugh2:

What difference would that make?

A battle axe and maybe some ninja stars are what you want to go for if you want the ultimate in manly weapons :laugh1:

Actually, some of my best friends are ninjas... they're really fun to party with...

Did you know they only wear those masks because they're all butt-ugly?? That's part of why I like hangin' out with them, I'm the good-looking one in the bunch...

That doesn't happen to me very often...

The only REALLY manly thing to do is to rip out the intruder's spine with your bare hands and beat him into submission with it.
