That was awful. I'll take bees to those invasive *******s any day.

Hornets/wasps completely suck.

When we moved into our house a little over a year ago, we had our first experience with hornets. There were lots of them and they would dive bomb you if you were out on the deck.

The weather got cooler and I finally figured out why they were so incredibly aggressive. I was under the deck doing some yard work and saw a huge mud nest almost right below the back door. Every time we came outside, it was like we were walking right on top of them.

Needless to say, the underside of the deck is patrolled regularly now.

Awesome footage, great work by whoever made the film.

But yea, bees over hornets any day of the week.

yes they really do. when i was about nine i hit a door that was hollow where some dirt dobbers had made their nests in the door, they chased me out of my back yard over some fences for two blocks till i made it to my friends pool and jumped in

It's so good, I actually have to cast doubt on it's authenticity. In some cases, it seems as though a camera is placed on a bees head while a hornet directly attacks it. The panning and zooming around in some scenes is also a bit too much to be true.

This slaughter reminds me of the Philly game this year.

Since we're all sharing stories: I was attacked by Yellow Jackets and stung 5 times (on my face and lip too), when i was like 6. I remember crying and running home. lol.

I liked the one shot of the hornet flying around with a bee on its back. The hornet flipped in mid-air and grabbed the bee. Skills.

I wonder why the bees didn't all gang-up on one hornet instead of going one on one with them.

European bees - no skills for the kill.

African bees - they were toast in 3 minutes.

Because they're bees. :laugh2:

The video explains it. They didn't evolve together, bee has no idea how to deal with something like that.

Honey Badger don't give a ****!!!

A few years ago late fall I fired up the woodstove for the first time since spring. A few minutes later I saw a wasp. Killed it but noticed another, then another and another and so on and so forth.

Turns out they had hived up in the wall behind the stove getting in through a crack where the chimney stack exited right behind the stove. The heat livened them up and they followed the heat to find a crack to get in the house.

That was not a fun evening.
