I fell off after season 2 with them focusing so much on his chief of staff/education bill and Claire leaving him (good riddance in my opinion dead weight/liability, but saw they get back together by the promos in future seasons). Francis lost his cajones and was like huh; where did my calculating sociopath go? I know I have plenty to catch up on but just thought that twist in the plot turned me off to it. Going to give it a round 2 for sure, assuming it wouldn't be going this long if it didn't have substance, etc. And Spacey is a great actor in general so know I'm missing out.

Give it a chance.

Claire gives Michael Corleone a run for his money.

I will most definitely. That's surprising that Claire has now taken over as alpha with last seeing her on a borderline mental breakdown at the end of season 2. I didn't quite see what she added in regards toward his goal outside (if anything she was a hindrance) but will be interesting to find out definitely.

I tell you what... she's not taking over the alpha role.... frank is giving her what she wants to keep her happy.... coupled with he trusts her cunning too! :)

one of the best shows on tv. I really like how spacey stops and talks to the viewers in the middle of a scene.
Breaking dat fourth wall :)

I've seen two episodes so far, and I agree, it's great when he does it :)

Frank getting cuckolded by the writer is ridiculous, let alone a secret like that would never last more than a day.....the First Lady banging someone besides the POTUS in the WH....child please

Real politics has ruined me for this fake Hollywood liberal versions of reality....the whole push to make sure there was a woman POTUS was pandering at its worst

Things have been on a straight line down since Season 2......... Doug Stampler is not a scary guy...... a hooker brained him and now he is Lex Luthor.......yawn

1.) Frank allows Claire to have mistress. He needs her. He needs her close.
It's very close to being, "keep your friends close and your enemies closer" when it comes to Claire.

I think you are wrong. That type of secret HAS been keep secret before. Maybe not forever in all cases but at least for a time.

2.) Underwoods are modeled after politicians/former pres and First Ladies. Including that couple.
I think they are teasing it and then yanking it away.
"Acting President"... that's a real kick in pants to anyone that was expected to be president.

3.) I think all the seasons have been good/fun....
Doug is a force. He still seems to get things done.

Admittedly this season is all over the place.
