I'm sure you've seen Kal Penn's reasoning behind it now, and that's pretty impressive that he would choose public service over the entertainment industry. Good for him! We should all be so lucky to be able to do what we really want to do.
The writers also said that it was going to be a good vehicle for the rest of the season to grow from.
Love that show.

I thought for awhile that they were leaning towards suggesting that Taub killed him to cover up the big lie of the previous episode, but that would have been too cheesy. I liked the end, where House finally realized that it was a suicide and that there really were signs that they all missed.
It was a good episode, but nothing will ever beat the two-episode finale last year with Amber's death. That was some of the best television I've watched in a long time!
