BTW, UH's Sumlin denies reports about job at Texas A&M

"That is not true," Sumlin said in the Cougars' postgame press conference. "I said earlier this week, two weeks ago that I wasn't going to talk to anybody period, during the football season. Many of the things that have been reported have now been found out to be false already. I've been consistent with that and that is not the case."

"I haven't talked to anybody," Sumlin said. "I haven't said anything to anybody about that."

UH athletic director Mack Rhoades said afterward that he still intends to communicate with Sumlin in an effort to keep him at UH. The pair have had preliminary discussions about Sumlin's future at UH in recent weeks and both indicated that they preferred to wait until after Saturday's game to discuss it further.

Yup I'm not buying that CBS source now. I've heard that A&M is planning to interview Charlie Strong either tomorrow or Monday

Sumlin will be in and out of College Station in four years or less. Let the cycle continue.
Take heart, I feel they can do better, unfortunately whoever takes over in this rebuilding, realignment phase is going to have a tough time.

Take it from a Baylor fan, you can't be kicked down forever, you can rise if you're patient and diligent, it took 12 years for Baylor to get it right, and A&M has a lot more resources at their disposal to try and do it.

Cheers.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm mostly fed up with the way things are being handled at the moment and I do not like bringing in an offensive coach when defense is clearly what we need to focus on in the SEC. I don't think Sumlin is a bad coach, I just don't think he is a good fit for the SEC at this time.
