that way he will be closer to the ball and qb= less false starts hopefully
plus he is old and slowing down big time maybe a change to guard like leonard davis did will help his career out alittle bit. If he was a team player and the coach asked him to do it. But we have to find either a FA or draft pick Left Tackle to protect Romo's blind spot. It can be done. Talk about aload we will have up front.
Please dont say Phil Loadholt he would be a good guard but the things i read about him as a LT is slow feet struggles with speed rushes and false start machine. Sounds alot like flozel adams now...:laugh1:

Well we knew Flo was a penalty machine, aging, suceptable to speed rushers, etc before we signed him to that contract. I actually think Flo can still play, he was definitely injured at the end of the year. But I mean holy crap, the number of penalties he draws are absolutely ridiculous, are you telling me we're just going to have to live with him being one of the most penalized player in the league every year? There's nothing that can be done?

How long has he been playing at this point? If they haven't even been able to slow his penalties down, thus far, whats to say there is any real shot of slowing them down going forward?

I'd say that you're definately going to have to live with his false start penalties and such for the rest of his time here.

A decent LT will cost a lot of cash every year and we already have a very highly paid oline.

a draft pick is cheap somebody will have to fall in out laps....or trade up....but we should make it manitory for flozel-false start-adams to wear a hearing aide. get a oline coach to wipe them into shape..our legendary oline coach disappointed me. The whole oline seem to regress. We juss need to turn into a power run team like the Ravens. Use some unbalanced Line(i like that formation). Some heavy sets and throw some play action in their. We need to cut down on the turnovers that put our Defense in terrible position. And Draft a ball hawking free safety that knows how to read the qb and intercept the ball and move hamlin to strong safety and make him tackle all offseason until he shows better technic or he will be benched for somebody who wants to tackle and wrap up.

I have been advocating this since before the season ended. He is under contract and I don't want to eat the cap dollars be releasing him and I also think he can still be a big part of this offense at Guard

As I've stated before you cannot wear a hearing aid on the field. It would get lost and likely wouldn't help much anyway. They still pickup too much background noise. I lose mine my falling asleep with them in my ear and then I guess they're eaten by the dog or taken by the bad fairy.

The footwork for a guard and tackle are completely different and in general so is the body type. Flozell is a highly paid LT and cannot be easily replaced even though I'm certain some would like to at times.

yes Flo has false starts, but he is nearly deaf in that ear... his play this year was down, but he spent most of the year helping Proctor first not to mention he had an injury. i want to see anuyone play top with the shoulder/hand injury on the line. i am not taking up for him because I think we paid him to much, but he is still one of the best LT's in the game. Rant off:)

We've heard this a million times. He needs to find another way to get his job done then. If you're on the field then you're liable for your play, enough with the excuses for these players.

He did have an injury, but he did not spend most of the year helping Proctor. He had his own stuff to worry about. i want to see anuyone play top with the shoulder/hand injury on the line.

He's not one of the best, I forgot who did the post, but this year he ranked something like 27 out of all the LT's in the game. That's just horrible.

Problem is we dont have a LT currently on the team besides Flo that is worth a dam, it would cost a fortune to sign a decent LT in free agency and we are already tight against the cap, and finally the question has to be asked, "do you really want a rookie protecting Romo's blindside???"

As you can see, keeping Flo at LT is really our only option.

Kinda my thought on that too.

How about we leave Flo at the position he's at and give him a top-of-the-line HEARING AID.

I would agree if you can't find an adequate replacement to play the position it would be foolish to move him inside however I'm one who believes young player can progress and would like to see an open competition with Free who is entering his 3rd year and McQuistan who will be entering his 4th.

Unless he plans on throwing the hearing aid at outside speed rushers I don't think it will be that big of a help. :laugh2:

I like Flo and would like to see him remain with the Cowboys I just think he needs to be moved inside if possiable. I don't see him improving on blocking the outside speed rushers heck he is a 13 year vet, inside I think he can still get the job done and would be a big help in the running game for the Cowboys. Of course we will need a LT to take his place and unless that happens or one of the younger guys shows improvement this move would be harder to make

I think we could live with the false starts if he blocked up to his full potential, with the poor play and penalties he just became a liability.
