coaches seem to know more about proctor than we do.

there must be a reason they kept him, and offered him the tender they did.

I doubt we bring anyone in. I think that unger was a clear upgrade, and was able to play enough positions to warrant the look. And even push gurode in a year or two.

but I think we stick with what we have now.

I'm sure a bunch of your local beat writers would love the signing. They can regale you with tales of sheep castration and bare teeth, the material practically writes itself. Grey Reugamer makes Anthony Schlegel and his knife wielding; boar hunting stories sound like child's play by comparison.

Ohhh Hell Nah!!!

Slate Is Playing Games With His Life!

I think we need a "buehler" spot light, like the batlight, so we can alert him to posts like that.

They offered second-round tenders to all of the restricted free agents they wanted to keep because it was not that much more (about a half-million) than the regular tender.

Don't look at it as a real endorsement for the players, other than them at least getting a tender -- unlike Tony Curtis.

if they didn't think another team would pick him up they woulda offered him a lower tender.

I don't think it means he is good, but I do think the coaches wanted to keep him for whatever the reason is.

I can't find the article, but Jerry Jones said the reason they tendered Austin, Hurd, Proctor and Bowen with second-round offers is because it wasn't that much more than the qualifying offer.

Why go $500,000 cheaper when you can guarantee yourself a second-round pick if someone makes them an offer?

But I do agree that the coaches want to keep him around at least until they find someone better (just not that we should look at the second-round tender as an estimate of his worth). Otherwise, Dallas would have treated him like it did Curtis.
