How about Joe Salave'a at backup NT?

what do you guys think about giving Big joe salave'a a shot at backup NT? He was cut by the skins today. Im not sure how effective he would be in a 3-4 defense but hes close to ideal size.

Understand that Wade was pleased with Ratliff's play at NT Saturday night so he apparently no longer searching for backup to Ferguson. How that effects Remi Ayodele is unknown?

Really? He's always looked under-sized to me. Maybe my perceptions are wrong, but that's the way to me, and he seems to get blown off the LOS alot.

Besides, I'm very satisfied with Ratliffe and Glimph(sp).

He is a real T and can play a little. Nothing moe than a body tho.

I would prefer Ratliff rotates at DE. Bowen is unimpressive.

Alexander was on our practice squad last year after he signed as a undrafted free agent.

Boschetti was also an undrafted free agent and he signed with us 3 years ago.

Can't say I'm sorry to see him go. He was a pretty decent player for them for being such an unknown.

As a backup (not a starter as he was for them), it's not the worst idea I've ever heard. At least he's the big, strong type unlike Ratliff. But they might be thinking that if Ratliff can do it, it saves them a roster spot. Wade did say yesterday that he feels good about NT now.
