No, not for this year. But Marc Colombo turned out okay when we signed him and stashed him on IR for the year. Why not try the same with Lavar? I always thought he would be a beast in a 3-4. With Ellis all but gone next year, it would be a nice option to have and would probably come fairly cheap.

Maybe because he has stated before he'd never play for Dallas even if they offered more money.......oh and he sucks.

Somebody delete this thread!

Lavar is a steroid using, injury prone jerk.

I think his career is over. Too many injuries over a 2-3 year period. I always thought he was over-rated, but he probably would've been good in a 3-4.

I heard him say it, but I doubt he meant it. Especially when teams aren't knocking down his door to sign the guy. But as my post above indicates, I would be against this.

BTW- who says this is Ellis last year? Let's wait till he actually plays before we jumped to that conclusion.

LaVarr has always been a mediocre player - at best. Add to that the fact that he can't play his assignment, and you have disaster. Earlier in his career, his athleticism made up for his many deficiencies. Now, however, he's just a broken, old, never-was of a player.

Just IMO, of course.

:suxskins:

if you look at how he is built it should be no surprise that he has had all of these leg injuries....he has no legs....especially for a man that goes 250 - 265. he would have been better dropping a few pounds when he was younger and playing SS. When you see a man that top heavy....it is a clear sign of roids

The guy has been forked.

Marco Rivera or Colombo? Rivera didnt work out.

No to Lavar. He isnt very good to begin with, let alone the baggage and injury.

A healthy LaVar would fit well in a 3-4 scheme. But you already have the player in Ware that plays the only position he would be able to fill.

As others have stated his injury concerns and financial risk simply aren't worth it.

I'm no medical expert, but can anyone name a player who has come back from an achilles' tear who didn't miss a beat? Only guy I can think of was Kevin Smith and he was a shell of his former self.

To me, achilles' injury = end of career, and isn't it awkward that the guy Commander fans brag ended Aikman's career ended his own on the same turf?

Marino came back and was OK. He did appear to lose something tho. But he continued on.

Arrington isn't going to be playing in the NFL anymore. Too much risk. That is what he, himself said.
