I saw someone wanting the cowbell idea on the dallasnews blog (or the DC.com blog) the other day... How funny would that be to put the Walken/Bruce Dickinson pic up telling the fans our D needs more cowbell?

Just have to get our fans to not ring them while we're on O. :eek::

Holy cow, we had the idea at the exact same time.
I like it, Hos! I think we're on to something. And when the crowd needs to make noise they can flash the "we need more cowbell" picture on the video board.

;)

i like that hostile, maybe it will take off; my question is this though hostile;

regarding NFL rules is cowbell outlawed?
i know bull horns are and those air horns you use on a lake

but im not sure if cowbells are ok or not?

anyone know the NFL rules on sound you can use in a football NFL stadium?

well how about something similar,
i am just trying to come up with something that the fans can use and have their own idenity,
like with texas a&m they have the 12th man

if we can get the fans at the stadium waving one particular thing, then i think that could be a big momentum to cause the stadium to rock

How about their middle finger. Hey and they're cheap, too! They could even paint them blue.

Just givin ya a hard time bro.

lol no problem understand;
im just trying to come up with something for the fans so they can create noise

Hey Hostile; i asked a person on ktbb.com and one of them said they werent sure about fans being able to use noise makers at the staduim, but that he would ask todd archer when he comes on today i believe

i think their is a nfl rule against noise makers at a stadium;

hopefully not, to me this is a super ideal;

I think you guys have been to one to many Sacramento Kings' games. The cowbells were big during Adelman's coaching tenure there. There was no restriction on using the cowbells in ARCO Arena, a smaller venue.

Great idea though, especially w/the big screen coaching the fans when to ring it.

Do any of you still remember the white towel from the late 70's that had "DoomsDay" printed on it. I still have one in my Den.

hate to break it to ya Joe but the Cowbell idea has been running rampant
thru the area message boards all week.
i fully expect to see and hear a lot more of them than ever at the game
sunday night.

i would say its about 50-50 on the idea , a lot of folks here associate
cowbells with high school football games and so they dont think
it ought to be done at the pro level.

But can you imagine 90,000 cowbells clanging while Eli and his g-spots are in the redzone? It will be worse than if he was Quasimodo ringing the bells in Notre Dame cathedral. I bet he cries. :D
