How about some Beasley?

Given Ogletree's recent struggles and our need forever for a quick slot receiver who can move the chains on third down (because everyone in the stadium knows that it will be a Dez Bryant slant or a Jason Witten out on third down), what about rolling out Beasley this week? Also, I would love to see a fair amount of no-huddle 3 wides with Dez, Miles, Beasley, Witten and quick passing by Romo to neutralize NYG's pass rush and tire them out.

Ogletree's coming out party was against the Giants and you want to put him on the shelf this Sunday?

I don't mind seeing more of Beasley, but there's no need to roll with the huge risk of playing him in a substantial role.

Not the biggest Beasley fan, but I wouldn't mind him being a more featured part of the offense. What have we got to lose? Nothing. Ogeltree hasn't done squat since the opening week against the Giants. Looks like that game was clearly a fluke for him. Put Beasley out there and see what he can do.

I think Beasley will be active this week and we will use some no back with 4wr and a TE out there.

Love to see something different like more of both Beasley and Hanna....but somehow I doubt it.

And has been pretty much worthless since.

I think Beasley is a card JG is planning to play late in the season and in the (hopefully) playoffs..

If our offense is going to continue to dink and dunk, then Beasley would make sense.

Rather see more Holmes or Harris.

More route runners.

This offense needs a spark. If Beasley can play like his last game of presesason it sure could open up some things for Dez and co. Pound 'em with Tanner, dink and dunk with Beasley and sling the long balls.

Wear the Giants out. Come the fourth quarter they'll be hands on hips gasping.

JMO of course.

That takes a change from the coaching which I don't think they will do. Stubbornness has set in and the same offensive philosophy will be ran over and over until it is even more evident what they are doing is not working.

But I agree with you, Beasley needs to play and his quickness should open up the offensive more and allow Romo to hit Dez and Miles more often. But will Garrett see this anytime soon or has he but is unwilling to try something different?

I think I would rather see Hanna on the field instead of a third WR. I believe you have more flexibility with Austin, Dez, Hanna and Witten on the field in a single back set.

Interesting. What makes you think that?

Unless they change Austin's slot role Beasley isnt playing anytime soon.

I mentioned this on another thread. It typically takes someone getting hurt for the Cowboys to discover they have a star that's been riding the pine. I would really like the Cowboys to start rolling their backups out more...maybe I'm crazy, but the only way you truly know what you have is playing them in a live situation. What you see in practice doesn't always tell the whole story about a player.

Our coaching staff problem, I think is we dont have comfortable leads in any games we played so far , to do experimentation. also the question of gamdeday roster with 45 actives have limitations, does beasely plays special teams ?

Beasley can do punt returns but he is not playing unless they are benching Ogltree.

I only remember Harris being targeted once so far in any game and he dropped the pass. What are the chances Beasley gets targeted even if active over say Harris or someone else on game day unless he is replacing Ogltree.
