i can understand if the penalties are unsportsmanlike penalties, but false starts are the players responsibility. these guys are veterans there isnt too much a coach can do to guys who have been in the league this long.

bull****

there is a lot a head coach can do to correct mental mistakes like false starts. unfortunately, very few NFL coaches do because of the reason you mentioned. but when they become a severe issue like it has with the cowboys you really need to consider addressing it

what do you suggest wade do when these players have false starts?

wade: "witten we cant have false starts keep your head in the game"

jason: "okay got it coach..."

im sure the players know theyve done something wrong when they see the flag.

Wade's defense played well today, once they wake up from slumber. The first TD ATL got was making my nerves uneasy but they pulled back and put together a good game. Of course there is room for improvement such as 4th & 10 TD etc.. but all in all good game with good prep.

Vintage Romo and WR /TE showed up in pass game. Only disappointment is running game. Barber should sit until healthy and choice / Felix should share.

I'll give him some credit if the team doesn't come out and lay an egg next week. We've seen this before with this team have a good game against a good team then come back the next week and suck against a bad team, break that trend pleas

i see what you mean, i think its a very fine line between coaching players up and treating them like theyve never played the game.

The team played much better today, though penalties are a hallmark of a lack of discipline directly derivative of a puppet at HC.

Put together alot more of these, and maybe we can start to think Wade has a hand in stirring the pot.

As demonstrated by Bellichick and the Patriots with their 10 penalties for 66 yards today. Child please!

Parcells coudn't stop the stupid penalities this team makes either, and hes the big, bad, tuna, so it does come down to the players. Don't you think that the coaching staff drill these guys about not making bad penalities?

i would not go so far to give wade credit, but I will happily give Garrett some credit, an excellent game plan by him, and a vast imporvement from what we have seen. Winning cures all.

his defense has really stepped it up and except for that complete breakdown for Atlanta's last score, we held a good falcons offense to an average day.

Jenkins gets the game ball for the D on this one.

Honorable mention to Ware, Ratliff, Sens, Brook.

Kudos to Newman and Jenkins for laying those ball dropping hits. Newman played a lot better in the second half and kudos to Hamlin for having a pass deflection maybe..

Good Work, if we continue to get better, i like our chances against seattle philly, greenbay, washington and oakland. But we cant overlook the seahawks.

Go Cowboys.

Great win, Wade! But you still suck and you will be out the door come January.

it was NEVER this bad. you think our players fear making a mental error vs lets say pittsburgh players with mike tomlin or the patriots with bill bellichek? HELL no they dont.

Wade deserves a ton of credit for this defense. outside of one drive, it looked like we knew what was coming again.

They are really starting to put it together. Guys are in position for turnovers but not always coming through. Hopefully they start catching the ball better.

Hats off to wade though, he is doing a good job with the defense.

I still want to see a major reduction in pre-snap penalties. I also don't like the fact that Wade "was all smiles" going in at halftime.

But, good win. It means nothing if we lay an egg next week though.

i'm not asking for a headhunter coach here, but at least somebody that will hold players accountable for drive killing penalties and possibly entertain the idea of coaching them

that's it.. nothing more, nothing less

He had the D prepared. Penalties are still there as a team though...they'll never go away with Wade at the wheel, that's just who he is. Game ball to Sens...I didn't hear a peep out of Gonzalez today and that's a great thing. Jenky is gaining confidence weekly it appears.
