How about this current 4-3 front?

Just a thought with the players we have now:
RDE DeMarcus- Ware
RDT- Jay Ratliff
LDT- James Geathers
LDE- Jason Hatcher
* Just that the kid Geathers intrigues me. He got decent push in the few games he played. Lissemore and Spears would rotate into the D-Line. The backers would be:
Will- Sean Lee
Mike- Orie Lemon or possibly a draft choice or FA
Sam- Bruce Carter
If this has been discussed, forgive an old dude!

A 4-3 defense with Sean Lee not playing the middle?
We could use his speed and coverage ability on the weeak side... ala Darren Smith or Dixon Edwards.

Can't argue the line, but your linebacker crew is suspect as something Jerry would come up with. Orie Lemon and Bruce Carter haven't proved they can stay on the field. Surely there is a FA out there to provide some experience. Lee is going to be a superstar for Dallas, but I don't know that he is ready to lead the defense.

Please tell me you are joking and if you are not please...just...stop.

How bout you chill out? He was just asking what people thought of this alignment.

Honestly, our DL would generate a heavy pass rush in this format i have to believe. I think Geathers is a physical freak who could flourish if he is coached up a bit. Lissemore would rotate in alot on the DL as well and get alot of snaps.

(The guy's name is Clifton Geathers though, not James.)

Still a ridiculous statement. I let people know when they are being ridiculous otherwise they might never know.;)

Which part of it was ridiculous? I bet we'd get more pressure from this alignment than we got this year.

I believe he was responding to the comment abouts Alabamas D. Clearly he missed that massive fail thread.

Yes, you are correct... Clifton Geathers

I'd rather move Hatcher inside and have Spencer on the edge. Hatcher provides very little pass rush as is, and would be non-existent as a 4-3 end.

Hatcher had more sacks than Ratliff, Coleman, and Spears combined.

He provides more pass rush than anyone else not named DeMarcus Ware.

Still had more sacks than our 2 other starters on the DL and the most played rotation guy. Ryan likes the guy.
