How about Trent Richardson with first pick?

Trade Felix for what you can get (I don't see him being resigned at moment). I like Murray, but his history of injuries concerns me.

Thoughts?

i thought about this idea the other day..it took me all of 2 seconds to determine that this team has so many holes that we cant justify taking Richarson

He might just be BPA at the time and the best RB in the draft.

Don't think he will be there and with what Murray showed last year no need.

Felix wouldn't fetch much in a trade, maybe a 4th rounder if that. Rather hold on to him. Murray has injury concerns yes but not they are not enough to justify spending the 14th pick in the draft on a RB.

He would be BPA at #14. I think some team would trade up for him.

trade down to 22..browns would definitely move up for him

get an extra 3rd rd pick

at this point in time..trading down is by far my favorite option

I would take Richardson but only if we had a 1st round offer on the table for Murray.

Contingent on several factors but as the way all things set right now, no.

I'm for it. It would be a grand larceny steal at 14.

lmao..it would be dumber than dumb

you think CB is an overrated position and value RBs..unbelievable

My hope is that both Richardson AND Tannehill are still there at #14 (possible)...then perhaps we can see a little bidding war going on to get that pick from us...I have thought about the Browns and there are others as well, but having both of those players available would be a fantastic thing for the Cowboys...a great problem to have...

I agree that most RBs aren't worth a first rounder.

However, special RBs are worth it. Would you argue that Adrian Peterson, Emmitt Smith, Terrell Davis, Ladainian Tomlinson and Bryan Westbrook aren't worth first round picks (knowing what we know about their pro careers).

I think Trent Richardson is worth it if he drops that far and would be a steal. However we are way too loaded at RB and would need a deal for Murray to make this deal make sense for our roster. I'd be okay with a high second round pick. If we can't get the deal done I wouldn't make the move as I don't want a roster with both Murray and Richardson. That is too much investment in a non-premium position.

this team has way too damn many holes to take a RB and hope and pray that he turns out to be a once in a decade type RB..we already have a damn good RB on this team..no way in hell do i do it

Man we're STILL on this? Helllllllllll no!

Look at the past Super Bowl winning teams. How many of those teams had high draft pick/franchise RBs?

I would actually take him at #14, but 1. He won't be and 2. I bet we could get an intriguing trade package at that spot.

Then why didn't the team ahead of us take that package.

Just kidding.

It could happen that way but I would prefer the elite player (Richardson) and then swing Murray's rookie season into a first round pick from a RB-hungry team.

I'd take Richardson with the first pick and then trade Felix Jones to the highest bidder.

If I could secure 41gy as Jones' agent to promote him to other teams, we could probably get a top 10 pick for Felix... maybe even multiple first round picks.
