a little bit?

If we could do "some" of this we have a great chance at helping Rex fall flat.

It seems that when we line up on defense that teams have the perfect protection against us.

My question is: Do we disquise enough? at all? or should we even bother?

I think that those three missing starters have a lot to do with it.

If we disguise our schemes our own guys might not recognize them.

You didn't consider that did you?

We only bring 1 extra guy most of the time, so if they are going to max protect or keep help in, can't do much against that.

Miami had decent protection because they had two guys in the backfield on almost every single pass, giving them seven people available (if needed) to block four or five rushers.

As did the Giants.

As do the Cowboys. Neither of the two teams have overloaded our protections. The two times the Giants rushed 6, Dallas had 6 in protection. The one time Miami rushed 7, Dallas had 7 in protection.

Kinda funny you mention that. A couple of times I didn't know if they were standing around because they were lost or trying to disguise.

At least a decade has passed since the Cowboys have had a defensive coordinator who truly cared about disguising his blitzes. It will likely take some time before the team grasps the techniques and intricacies of masking its rushers.

I hope they do. And although I said a decade had passed, I'm not entirely certain of the time frame. It was clear Zimmer didn't give a plug nickel about disguising his blitzes, and if he did, he certainly didn't spend any substantial length of time teaching it.

Personally, I think this tendency may have carried over from Campo's years as coordinator. Dallas' sack total declined shortly after Campo took over.

Wade may have to undo twelve years worth of bad teaching.

Indubitably. Each team did it when they were ahead. Though Miami only did it on 1st and goal from the 1 so they may have been rushing that many against the run.

Romo is 2/3 for 24 yards and 1 TD against it with the completions going to TEs.
