How about Zac Robinson of the Rams for OC?

I like his analytics background and work with QB’s. He comes from the McVay, Shanahan offense that is all the rage.

If you want to go outside of the organization for a young minded and new approach, this is your guy.

He is listed as the favorite for the Chargers OC position though.

Not a chance. Jerry only hires coaches he is "comfortable" with. He is as bad at evaluating coaches as he is players.

It's gonna be a guy that knows McCarthy. Don't get your hopes up for a guy outside of McCarthys coaching tree and connections. I'd be shocked if they hire a guy outside the box.

Sounds promising.
Wish we would at least interview him.

Kellen Moore was a young minded and new approach and they fired him. McCarthy is either going to be his own OC or he is going to recycle someone from his past. The offense is likely going to take a ten-year step back. Hopefully, McCarthy doesn't think Dak is like Favre or Rodgers in his play calling.

Moore didn't have a new approach, he just regurgitated Garrett's O

If you think about it objectively, why would a young in demand OC come here to work with a meddling owner, a QB who can't get over the hump and is realistically in decline as we speak, a head coach who is a couple losses away from being a lame duck, etc. etc.? Unless this young OC grew up as a Cowboys fan we are most likely getting a retread or a puppet.

Are Schottenheimer and McAdoo still on Staff? It will likely be one of those guys. I Don't expect to see an entirely new offense put in place, I think they will keep the base offense intact and build on that. The play calling will be where noticeable changes will take place.

Because its the offensive coordinator role for the most visible team in the league. This offense does well and he gets HC looks the following offseason. This team fails, but this guy impresses Jerry and he may get a HC look here. How many better coordinator opportunities are out there right now?

I think you're spot on, and I would fully expect to hear Schottenheimer named OC in the coming days/weeks. He was with the cowboys all year, McAdoo is with someone.....maybe Carolina right now? Not 100% sure but that could change with the new HC coming in.

My choice is Greg Roman I know not a popular choice but the guy has been called the best run game OC in the league. He also made an offense work with Jackson who is nowhere near Dak's level as a passer. Admittedly Jackson is elite as a runner and Dak is not, but if we want to run the ball and want a guy who has designed offenses that have worked and with a dominant run game he's my choice. Also Balt doesn't have anywhere near our level of offensive talent to put around a QB sans Andrews of course. We aren't going to be successful running some explosive style offense that all of these young OCs want to do. Just my initial thoughts.
