How about Zac Robinson for OC?

Because its the offensive coordinator role for the most visible team in the league. This offense does well and he gets HC looks the following offseason. This team fails, but this guy impresses Jerry and he may get a HC look here. How many better coordinator opportunities are out there right now?
Are you blind? The most recent OC just got let go. Also you are living in the past if you think HC of the Cowboys is some kind of plum position. It's a "job of last resort" position for the same reasons. Why do you think we just get bums and retreads? Parcells is way in the rearview bud. Those days are gone.

Kellen Moore was a young minded and new approach and they fired him. McCarthy is either going to be his own OC or he is going to recycle someone from his past. The offense is likely going to take a ten-year step back. Hopefully, McCarthy doesn't think Dak is like Favre or Rodgers in his play calling.
I wouldn’t say regress much. McCarthy’s offenses were usually near league tops (and yes I know who the QB was and the talent they had)

Are Schottenheimer and McAdoo still on Staff? It will likely be one of those guys. I Don't expect to see an entirely new offense put in place, I think they will keep the base offense intact and build on that. The play calling will be where noticeable changes will take place.
That right there also shows what the club thinks of Dak's ability to run a different offense. This is the guy they handed that ridiculous contract to.

Well most OC roles are open because another guy was let go. And trust me head coach of the Dallas Cowboys is an extremely good job. The current guy is a super bowl winner. If you want to bash on him for being a retread then you have to lump Bill Parcells into that same category.

We aren’t getting anyone new or exciting. It’s gonna be a mm guy with mm probably calling plays and using a collaborative effort with someone like mcadoo or schottenheimer or all 3. That’s pretty clear.

He might not have been a great HC, but Matt Nagy has been on Andy Reid's staff as the QB coach (2013-2016, 2022) and OC (2017) and got his HC gig because of the way he was looked at around the league. Hell, he even made Tribusky look better than he is. Being the OC in Dallas would be a promotion.

Well I'd say one difference is Parcells wasn't basically fired by his super bowl winning QB that he glommed onto, unlike McCarthy, so you can group Parcells and McCarthy together but I'll pass on that. I'd also say Parcells could have had his pick of jobs and that was definitely not the case for Mike.

You're right about a lot of that, and I would fully agree Parcells is a different situation, I just take the retread label with a grain of salt because most coaches are, Plus Mike McCarthys resume holds up to most. I would argue McCarthy could have had more opportunities, but it was pretty much a given once Garrett was let go that he was their man. I feel pretty strong about that give the candidates in consideration were him and Marvin Lewis. Plus of all the openings in 2019 (Atlanta, Carolina, Detroit, Jacksonville, NYG, NYJ, Washington, Cleveland) it was a rough year to be wanting a HC gig. I don't remember exactly how things went down so maybe I am way off, but if I were McCarthy I'm not sure I would have jumped right into one of those rebuilds.

My choice is Greg Roman I know not a popular choice but the guy has been called the best run game OC in the league. He also made an offense work with Jackson who is nowhere near Dak's level as a passer. Admittedly Jackson is elite as a runner and Dak is not, but if we want to run the ball and want a guy who has designed offenses that have worked and with a dominant run game he's my choice. Also Balt doesn't have anywhere near our level of offensive talent to put around a QB sans Andrews of course. We aren't going to be successful running some explosive style offense that all of these young OCs want to do. Just my initial thoughts.
I live in Ravens country and the fans here have been waiting for Roman to leave. The passing game was constantly being called out for being boring and predictable.

I'm not sure if that is why Hollywood Brown left, but word is WRs dont want to be in his scheme. That being said, the Ravens have a bad track record drafting WRs.
