For the comp pick experts, how are we looking for the 19 draft?
One fourth-rounder for Hitchens. That's it.
Bene was cut and no longer qualifiesI think we may get a 6th or 7th now from Benwikere. I think he met his playtime goal, and earned his bonus putting him over that $1 million contract status.
But we have no 6th of our own, because of the trade for him too.

Didn't we spend a 4th for Hitchens? If so, pretty cool that we basically put the 4th round pick on layaway and used it to rent a player for 4 years who actually was pretty decent.
I believe we did the right thing with Hitchens.Hitchens was good. Still is good.
I believe we did the right thing with Hitchens.
Anyone would have rather kept him around and pay him what he is getting from the Chiefs?
I rather have Leighton. Not only was the pay high for Hitchens but he was injured often.I believe we did the right thing with Hitchens.

The Cowboys absolutely did the right thing with Hitchens.I believe we did the right thing with Hitchens.

Got to love this sentiment versus the hysterics the day we traded for himI believe the league took all of our comp picks away after we traded for Cooper because the owners felt it was unfair for us to have both him and picks.
Hindsight is 20/20, but we have 3 top 10 LBs (when healthy) in Lee, LVE, and Smith. No reason at all for us to pay him what he's making, though he would be an upgrade over Wilson. The Cowboys absolutely did the right thing with Hitchens.
He is a solid LB but not worth close to what they are paying him.
A strongside LBer is useless in the league now.Hindsight is 20/20, but we have 3 top 10 LBs (when healthy) in Lee, LVE, and Smith. No reason at all for us to pay him what he's making, though he would be an upgrade over Wilson.
Some people would say the same about a defense-first team.A strongside LBer is useless in the league now.

Not bad at all, certainly not a liability or major concern.Wilson is good, too, though.
They are also the ones who thought the Rams/Chiefs was a Super Bowl preview. I can all but guarantee you that will never happen. Some people would say the same about a defense-first team.
