this includes top DTs as well as a couple safeties - rapp and thornhill

3rd pick
DL Quinnen Williams "Analysis: Williams, as expected, saw more time against the Saints than in the previous two preseason games. He played 29 snaps, mostly with the starters. But he didn’t accomplish much during that time. He didn’t record a single tackle or any other sack – his name isn’t on the box score at all. He did have one nice moment when he drew a holding penalty, though. But that’s not enough for a No. 3 overall pick. Grade: C-"

10th pick
DT Ed Oliver looks pretty good and will start

13th pick
DT Christian Wilkins - "Spence started all 16 games for Miami last season and racked up 42 tackles and two sacks. Spence’s release shows that the Dolphins have immense confidence in rookie first-round draft pick Christian Wilkins, as well as Davon Godchaux and Vincent Taylor in the team’s defensive line rotation"

19th pick
DT - Jeffery Simmons - "Tennessee Titans defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons is so driven in his rehab from a torn ACL that it motivated defensive tackle Jurrell Casey to work harder to return from his own injury. The best-case scenario seems to be Simmons returning in December, but expectations should be tempered. The Titans could quite possibly hold Simmons out the entire season, which wouldn’t be a bad idea considering the 22-year-old has a long career ahead of him."

Late second round
"Juan Thornhill looked very much like a man learning to play safety at the pro level, thinking through what he’s supposed to do versus instinctually responding like he did as a ballhawk at Virginia."

Late second round
S Taylor Rapp: "Rapp has been a real bright spot this preseason despite playing limited snaps. He’s going to have a key role this season as the third safety and eventually become a full-time starter, likely in 2020 if Weddle retires or is cut."

Mid third round
"Khalen Saunders might be an athletic beast in the middle, but he’s nowhere ready for actual reps at the pro level."

good to read that. You always assume the other teams guys are doing great and our draft picks are flaming out against practice squad hopefuls.

Watch that Baldinger cutup of Ed Oliver at 0:45. He leaves his feet to try and swat the ball away, has the balance to land it even with Quenton freaking Nelson driving on him, then swims off Nelson and nearly gets the sack. That is just incredible God-given athleticism.

I've already said, if there's one player from this draft class that ends up making the Hall of Fame, I bet it's Oliver.

yes that was amazing even if the qb held the ball way too long. he is undersized but going to be a real special player.
