Oh boy...

I have so many ways to invest time.

-model trains
-plastic models
-military history
-true crime
-horror films
-halo/computer gaming

And I enjoy dabbling in business. I spend a lot of time listening to seminars... Reading business books... Looking at business opportunities.

Mike, if you enjoy true crime and have HBO, check out their Confessions of an Autopsy. Really good stuff

Get out there and enjoy the Summer, will be cold again before ya know it. Time goes by faster if you are having fun

It really sucks that I am spending it in Houston rather than SoCal but will make the best of it!

What exactly do you mean with horror movies? Looking for actual hidden gems like the Babadook or laughing at garbage like the Leprechaun?

I've been doing things around my house (several that should have been a couple of years ago). Replaced the kitchen sink with a stainless steel model, got rid of tons of clutter (no my house almost feels empty but looks SO much better), replaced all of our blinds (well not all, I've still got three to do), built some new steps for the front door, which has subsequently transitioned to plans for doing a new front porch and a deck in the back yard. Still debating on whether or not to do the deck and porch or actually going on a vacation this year.

Still working on learning the rest of the songs I like from the new Metallica album (at least the ones I WANT to learn), which in turn has rekindled the desire to get my album written and recorded. Add in the video game excursions (when I play I usually go on an all day bender) and I've got more than enough distractions.

They crushed it on Stephen Colbert Monday night.
**** I missed it. My daughters bought us all tickets for my birthday for the Phoenix show in August. I've never been so excited about waiting for a gift in my life. I can't wait. This will be about 8-9th time I've seen them (I've lost count). The best show was in Denver Colorado supporting Ozzy on the Master of Puppets tour. They were SO hungry back then and you could just feel it. Sadly, a few months later, Cliff was gone.

Just finished the spring planting onions, broccoli, cabbage, radishes, tomatoes, strawberries, kale, lettuce, two pear trees, cherry tree, three blackberry bushes, raspberry bush, and snow peas. I also planted a cranberry bush, river birch tree, red maple tree, two forsythia bushes, and two red twig dogwood trees. Now I can sit out listen to the birds sing and watch the baby birds come out of the nests.

Both.

Having a Shudder subscription and being a Prime member I get access to a wide variety of films.

I will say the "Hidden Gems" are much fewer than the 3.3 out 10 films that are out there. It seems that anyone with a camera can make a film now and horror being the common denominator for many of them.

Yep, have two feeders on one side of the house right outside my office window and two more on the other side including a humming bird feeder so the wife can watch those guys.

The humming birds just came back this week so I put the feeder out. After five years I think I finally got three bluebird houses positioned so they are all occupied one with bluebirds and two with tree swallows. If they're too close the birds fight all the time. The last couple of years purple martins have been nesting under our deck. They're great for mosquito control and really fun to watch fly.

Very cool!

I'm looking at a Blue Jay out the window right now... I'll put some peanuts in the shell on the railing and they'll be gone in no time flat (due to the Blue Jays).

We're pretty lucky to have the birds.

My daughter lives in the dry portion of Washington state and they get nothing in the way of birds. She can hang out a feeder and it will take week to empty. Heck I burn through bird seed like no tomorrow.

watching the nightly full out war between the Nations political parties. Football would be a distraction from all that.

I do my best to try to ignore politics across the board.

I see folks here, there and everywhere that get wrapped up in it. Their day is either ruined or they're exhilarated depending upon who has the upper hand and who's getting into trouble.

I know someone here started a politics board. Can anyone share the link. I just have to vent sometimes.
