How are your pet cats doing?

Cats are worthless. Dogs are better. They can swim, alert you when people try to creep up to your crib, protect your family, very loyal. That's why man's best friend is a dog and not a cat.
Maybe the phrase was invented because most of the times cats will get your hopes up and let you down. But every know and then there is an awesome cat. They are just rare

I thought the pick was stupid......I wanted Hogan....not sure how he is doing so far, though. Dak has played great, and I am happy to admit I was wrong, so far.

But, remember this, he came to a very good OL and has some pretty nice weapons in Dez, Witten, and Beasley....as well as a veteran RB in Morris. I honestly do not feel he would be as good as he has been if he went to a team like Cleveland, Jacksonville, Los Angeles, or some of the other bottom feeders. He wouldn't have the OL or offensive weapons to help him be successful.

What QB wouldn't?

Mine was sorta kinda Darius Jackson..

After a couple preseason games I'll go with Nzeocha or Jenkins.

You guys definitely didn't understand OP's intention. He meant your pet cats from the entire draft, irregardless of what team drafted them. Not just our players.

I had several pet cats, but they are on other teams now and I have not taken the time to look them up as to how they are doing.
Wentz is injured, I haven't seen anything on Braxton Miller or Kevin Hogan. Lynch played ok yesterday. Byard is with the Titans, but I have no idea how he is doing. Hassan Ridgeway is with the Colts, I know he has done well in practice, not sure about games. Not sure how Hargrave is doing with the Steelers. Not sure how Thompson is doing with the Giants. Not sure about Joe Dahl or Joe Haeg. Keyarris Garrett went undrafted, but signed with someone as a UDFA....not sure how he is doing.

Basically, unless my pet cats came from my HS or from the Longhorns, I tend to forget about them if they aren't with the Cowboys. I hope Ridgeway does great for the Colts, as for the rest of my pet cats, who cares.....they are now trash that belongs to the other 31 teams.

I mean I do understand what you're saying and I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing.

That being said, the entire point of the thread was to discuss pet cats that are with other teams as well. We all know how our players are doing but we don't always hear about players we liked initially who were drafted elsewhere.

I know the point of the thread, we all do....and we all choose to respond in our own manner.

I was pulling for Morris Claiborne and David Irving...so far, they both are looking to be strong contributors.

pet cat is a term I coined back here a long time ago when this forum used to be a fan site for Steve buscemi. It basically means your favorite player(s) from the draft.

Mine was dak prescott (;
The Cardinals took the risk on Nkemdiche. If early reports from rookie minicamp are any indication, that risk is already paying off.

DT Robert Nkemdiche has been unblockable considering that he's getting double teamed, was in the backfield before the QB throws the ball.

In a span of three plays, Robert Nkemdiche had a swim move that had the OT grasping for air and then simply blew through the offensive line.

I don't know that I had a pet cat. I wanted Zeke and I hope he's all that's advertised. I was excited when we picked Dak because virtually everything I read about him talked about his uncanny ability to raise the level of play of those around him and his leadership. I REALLY didn't want Cook. His attitude reminded me of Leaf. So, I was relieved we couldn't get to him and genuinely excited about Dak. All the negative stuff about Dak concerned...mainly from this board. Everyone said he was a career backup at best. I don't follow college ball and I'm surely no scout, so that still concerns me.

I guess my "pet cat" is Dak because what I've seen of him reminds me of the "moxie" I read about Romo. Hitting on a QB would be a monster bonus to this team.

My next guy I was excited about was Tapper. I like everything I've read...but that position takes a bit of time.
