How bad is Matt Moore?

Remember all the talk about giving up Matt Moore. Jake Delhomme has been awful for 6 weeks now and Fox still thinks Delhomme gives the team the best shot.

Although, it looks like Moore might be getting the start in Carolina finally. Fox is "thinking" about a switch.

Can Matt Moore be worse than Delhomme? Is that possible?

If Josh McCown had not been injured and put on IR he would be second string in Carolina and possibly the new starter for the Panthers.

Delhomme at this point in his career is a C level QB. But the problems with the team are much beyond him.

I think the Panthers are reluctant because Delhomme is getting paid a lot of money.

If the salaries were the same, Jake would have been benched a long time ago.

i always liked matt moore,
but best i remember moore had a devastating leg injury a year ago, and he might not be the player he once was with that leg injury now

Bingo. They're now sitting there big time regretting that big money extention they gave him this summer.

Moore isnt a lock to be the next QB. They brought in AJ Feeley several weeks ago, and supposedly he is being considered too

And what is AJ Feeley going to do for them? It's not like they're getting a playoff run out of the guy. Either get the younger Matt Moore some time in the game, or use Delhomme for the rest of the season for a good QB draft pick next year.
