How big and impressive was the play Alan Ball made on 3rd and 2?

The Suisham misses the 50 yard FG attempt. Initially I thought we were all over the play and that our DTs stopped it. But on further review, Ball blitzed up the gap, shoved the LT out of the way and got to Cartrwright all by himself and held him up long enough, with the LT still blocking him, for Bowen to join in taking him down.

We're talking about 188 lbs Alan Ball here. I need to fully watch the game to get a better feel for how he played overall though. He did miss the tackle that led to the only significant run for the Skins.

he coulda had an easy pick if he played the ball and not the wr on 1 play just like Aikman said.

I couldn't believe he didn't get that pick. It looked like a gimme.

with a little more experience, another offseason conditioning with getting about 7 pounds more of muscle, ball will come into his own i think;

This defense is way better then it's been in years. Forget about the stats. We have better player and it's showing.

Looks like we found our Hamlin replacement.

Hopefully we look to FA or the draft to get a 4th corner.

I really hope Scandrick is just having a sophomore slump.

Or you can change that to 3rd corner.

/probably overreacting

Ball is playing better than Scandrick right now. And probably as well as Newman.

I have been saying since game one to get Ball some playing time, either at safety or CB.

Been saying the same thing about Ogletree and Butler since game one.
