How big is Pats game now avoiding 2-2?

Unfortunately losing yesterday presents an arguably must win game early in the season to avoid 2-2 heading to SF. 2-3 could be a 3 Alarm fire drill.

Most thought we’d cruise into SF 4-0 for a NFC showdown . This is what happens when you lose games you shouldn’t. It presents bigger games than originally sledded.

The schedule gets tougher from here. And this Pats game becomes IMO an early must win game . Because I doubt few will have much confidence heading to SF at 2-2.

And what would 2-3 look and feel like. This is how quick seasons can turn after losses. It makes the next game that much bigger. And this game becomes much bigger than anyone expected.

3-1 we kind of catch our breathe. 3-2 wouldn’t be that bad . I had us at 4-2 at the bye before the season begun. And I think we’d be fine.

But 2-3 could begin to unravel and that’s what we’d be looking straight down the barrel at if we lose to Pats.
Big big game now !!!

If the Cowboys show up full of themselves again they will lose. I think they'll probably win. They have a habit of bouncing back after a bad loss. If not and then they lose to the 49ers things could unravel.

Belichick is not someone I want to face in this scenario. Pats defense is enough to be concerned about. Their offense is suspect though .

But both of their losses they had a shot to win. And they are beginning to play better. Our defense has a history of making average QB’s look good.

But Bill will take away our best player on offense . And he surely can exploit the blueprint to stifle our offense.

He’s the last person and losing record team I’d want to face in what’s become an early must win for us.

People have jumped on Bill for their lack of success without Brady, and there is some truth to it. But the dude is still a top notch HC who can gameplan defensively to take away the other teams top targets.

Pats took away Waddle and Hill in week 2. Mostert has found the fountain of injury free youth for Miami and was the x factor for them winning.
Then the following weekend they put up 70 points vs a defense that was excellent in 2022.

So, I expect Bill to take away CDL with Gonzalez- he kept Hill in check, and force Dak to go to reads 2-3-4.
Judon is also still a top notch edge, so hopefully the team actually plays Smith if he suits up

We aren't shooting ourselves in the foot 2 weeks straight.

They will beat the Pats. From there I have no forecast against the niners. My confidence level will be based on how soundly they play against new England.

I want to call the cards one of those weeks, but the last time I said that was against the Broncos and we were never the same.

One thing I know the Pats will be prepared. Belicheck d will be ready. There oline is weak so we should be able to exploit it. And their qb is another dak lol.

Could MM lose the team like Wade did?
Going into that year, 1st year at Jerry world. SB talk of playing in their own stadium.

Then a 1-7 start. Then Garrett, and the team played better. Enter the Garrett debacle for 10 years.

Not saying it will happen. But can't help to think it the way the team played yesterday.

Dak and offense never got into a groove for 3 games. They were awarded extra possessions and smaller fields in 1st two games. Once turnovers didnt happen like yesterday, Dak and offense displayed who we thought they were. Even in Jets game, we kept kicking FG upon FG in multiple red zone opportunities.

Every game is a big game. I wish they would’ve had that mentality before yesterday….

It really doesn't matter if we start 2-2. We are a Wildcard team. All of our toughest games this year are on the road, where Dak has proven to be a failure. I'm looking at 11-6. Short of a season ending injury to Hurts, yesterday 100% convinced me that we are not winning the East. Dak aside, yesterday also 100% convinced me that we will never make a NFCCG under Fat Mike....much less a Super Bowl appearance.

Anything is possible . And a performance like yesterday would certainly create such thoughts.

I think how we bounce back will determine . And why this Pats game has become bigger than it should have been. Cause if we lose heading into SF 2-2 then it could begin to unravel if we fall 2-3, especially if SF was to embarrass us on Sunday nite.

3-2 and we are probably ok. I had us at 4-2 at the bye before the season which is looking pretty good now.

Huge game.

Sometimes players don’t want to play. That was yesterday. If it happens 2 weeks in a row it’s a very bad sign.

Cowboys will win big vs the pats.

If we lose next game our season could completely go off the rails, especially since we're going into san fran. We could realistically be 2 and 3 in the next couple of weeks.

Sadly, Mike thought this was a great game to 'load manage' the players and take it easy, but it's going to have repercussions down the line.

Cardinals game was strike 1. Patriots game will be strike 2. 49ers game will be strike 3 and we’ll be out.
