How big is Pats game now avoiding 2-2?

Unfortunately losing yesterday presents an arguably must win game early in the season to avoid 2-2 heading to SF. 2-3 could be a 3 Alarm fire drill.

Most thought we’d cruise into SF 4-0 for a NFC showdown . This is what happens when you lose games you shouldn’t. It presents bigger games than originally sledded.

The schedule gets tougher from here. And this Pats game becomes IMO an early must win game . Because I doubt few will have much confidence heading to SF at 2-2.

And what would 2-3 look and feel like. This is how quick seasons can turn after losses. It makes the next game that much bigger. And this game becomes much bigger than anyone expected.

3-1 we kind of catch our breathe. 3-2 wouldn’t be that bad . I had us at 4-2 at the bye before the season begun. And I think we’d be fine.

But 2-3 could begin to unravel and that’s what we’d be looking straight down the barrel at if we lose to Pats.
Big big game now !!!
This is how quick seasons turn when you lose 4 pro bowlers in 1 week.

Are you even a fan, or just here to stir up negativity?
Just an upset fan that made a pact with this train wreck and has to stick with it. I’m allowed to be upset and dissatisfied with a team that is capable of way more. I don’t stir up negativity considering folks like you combat me anyways,

It's the next biggest game of the year, like the Cardinals game should been. The Cowboys seem to dismiss that concept.

But you pee on anything positive as well. That is why I asked.

Cmon though…..if this team losses 3 in a row and goes 2-3 thats almost toast time.
Teams go through adversity. Long season. Steelers some time ago were like 2 -7, then went on a roll and made the playoffs.

If you really look at my posts., you’ll find I can be positive. When we scored 30 points last week, I stated it was nothing to scoff at— however I was also critical (and rightfully so) because we struggled in the red zone and only scored field goals. I criticize things that have a right to be criticized. And this team unfortunately has a lot of woes alongside it’s “bright spots”. That’s what 25+ years of being the joke of the league will do to you.

Yea but did they start off 2-0 with #1 defense being hyped as best team and SB front runner?

Good news is we can still make this season everything we’d hoped for . But this loss was a rude awakening we might have been over zealous and illustrates some weakness’s and highlights some concerns .

Hopefully we’ll bounce back and put this in rear view window , but if it looms on this loss could be a defining moment . Is that fair ?

Only if you allow it. To each their own though.
Of course no fan likes that, and it sucks.
So I look at it as, every season is a new adventure, and don't let that past determine my outlook on the next season. Well not too often.

Oh there will be a time, like the early 2000's when the triplets were gone. I expected 4 or 5 years of not so good times. It picked up for a while...then enter Mr. 8-8. Those 10 years were more frustrating than the late 80's.

This is a very good team, we hit a huge sand dune in the desert. Unless MM loses them as Wade did. I am sure they will bounce back. That is how I look at it anyway.

It it a slap in the face that they may have needed. A wake up call. And better to happen now than later. But I am sure they made have another game similar to this one. But maybe this keeps them better prepared.

I don't see anyone deflecting anything. This is the 2nd time you mentioned this.
This is something I’ve mentioned for years depending the circumstance . Sometimes it applies .

Almost like a much needed or planned rude awakening . Now that’s a positive spin. Lol

Great job Cowboys!!

Must-win. Things could go south quickly in the next stretch of games. Beyond SF, the Chargers game will be a battle. That will be Kellen's Super Bowl so you know he'll be motivated and he actually has a legit QB that will allow him to do what he wants to do on offense. Then by the time we play the Rams, Cooper Kupp could return and then Philly afterwards. :(

We put 35 on the great Belichick last time we played. Our defense is much better, despite that crap fest yesterday, than it was in 2021. Game is at home. If this team can't refocus after getting punched in the mouth then we have big problems. I expect we will see a team that resembles the one that played the first two games than the one that was on the field yesterday.

Pats fan here. NE is trending slightly upward. First of all, the D has been very good, definitely a top-10 defense, though now nicked up with 3 CB's out yesterday and a couple of DL's hurt yesterday. They'll give Dak and company a fight. New rookie punter and rookie PK have improved the ST's too.

The offense has been mediocre but they're had a slew of OL injuries. Week 1 the LG, RG and RT were all out and we had to play 2 mid-round rookies vs Philly. Week 2 vs Miami was worse, with the LT out too. Yesterday they had 4 starters from last year for the first time, and handled the Jets front pretty well - no sacks and Zeke running well (5.0 y/c) - so the offense looked stable for the first time. They're not explosive but have many half-decent weapons, Mac is a legit QB, and Bill O'Brien as OC has made them better. With the OL in better shape, we'll see if they can figure out the Cowboys D.

That was a shock watching that Arizona game yesterday.

One thing I know the Pats will be prepared. Belicheck d will be ready. There oline is weak so we should be able to exploit it. And their qb is another dak lol.
Yeah, not afraid of Jones but they ran the ball better against the Jets than the Cowboys did. Zeke got 5 yards a carry yesterday (16 attempts) and he'll be extremely motivated. I can't imagine a worst case scenario if Zeke goes off in Jerryworld.

What they don't have is the Cardinals speed. No one on their offense is going to run by you.

They can run for 5 yards a carry all they want if they only plan to score 15 points.
