Collins baby!!!!A lot will depend who they hire. If we stay in a 4-3 base, more of a rotational type, but if we move to 3-4, we are going to need another starting caliber OLB.

In my opinion, Collins is an ideal in more of a hybrid scheme as he can play all over the place. Some comparisons are to Jamie Collins and Kyle Van Noy. Teams would not get the maximum benefit if they just play him at one spot. Yes, he can become an edge player, but can do so much more.Collins baby!!!!
Do you think the new defensive coordinator will have pull in this draft or the front will make the draft decisions like last season? I will say I trust the office more then the coaches. In my opinion, Collins is an ideal in more of a hybrid scheme as he can play all over the place. MM believes scouts scout, coaches coach, but if they need scheme specific players the DC is going to have a say who gets drafted. Marinelli was terrible at this, one of the many reasons I like Marvin Lewis is he actually built a defense from the ground up as he was the GM of the Bengals.Do you think the new defensive coordinator will have pull in this draft or the front will make the draft decisions like last season? All they had to do was tell them like they did but it was too late - too much suckage under the bridge for Dorance. Even a casual observer knew Gregory was a much better player and option.Let's see who they hire first to determine what type of end they will be looking for. I think Armstrong playing so many snaps really irritated the front office as they wanted Gregory to play more.
Paye certainly is more in the picture with the hiring of Quinn. The six foot six inch 300 lb defensive end with 3-ft long arms is something we do not have and could definitely be useful in the defense that Quinn uses.
The Michigan defensive end would be a good pick if he's the best available.
That’s not describing Paye though is it? Maybe Rousseau?Paye certainly is more in the picture with the hiring of Quinn.
I think Paye could fit that 4T role well. That’s not describing Paye though is it? Maybe Rousseau?
