How bout that defense?

I'm not sure people realize just how good this Texans offense is. It's a good, very good. They're explosive, they can score, they can move the ball.

And we effectively held them to 6 points. I can't underscore just how good of a performance that was out there today.

This is the same defensive play we saw in Week 1. That's 2 out of 3 performances that are absolutely dominant. I think it's a trend. ;)

Not sure how this made it's way to the Off-Topic Zone instead of the Fan Zone, but it'd be great if one of the mods could move it over.

Thanks.

You been drinking, theo?
No, I wasn't even looking at the Off-topic Zone (that I know of). Some sort of glitch maybe?

I really felt the defense would have to carry the team this year, given some uncertainty with the line on offense. They were outstanding today, and really that's 2 of 3 weeks. Last week, they were done in by a very good play caller and a pretty hot qb.

But lets not rest on our laurels. They gave up a 100 on the ground with CJ and AP the next 2 games.

Yeah this defense played really great once again. I don't know if people realise just how good this defense is at times. I think it's way to often over looked.

But isn't Foster supposed to be the second coming? They held him to 106 or something like that - the first 100 yard back against Dallas in quite some time. He was red hot coming into the game. I think the Cowboys pretty much kept him in check.

Cowboys did a lot of good things on defense, we did make a big mistake on a 3rd and 20 where Foster broke it for a 1st but overall They did a very good job out there and really contained Andre Johnson.

Well Arian Foster has over 400 yards in 3 games so I'm not sure it's anything to be too ashamed of. And if you have to choose between letting an explosive passing game go wild or the running get 100 yards, you choose to limit the passing game every time.

With CJ and AP, I don't think we aren't going to have to spend much time worrying about the passing game.

without takeaways our team loses.

with takeaways we win.

we need to continue this string of taking the ball away.

The Jenkins INT was huge. The Texans got greedy there.

Timing was pretty crucial too.....he had just been flagged for molesting Johnson...huge play in response.

That play irked me to no end. I thought "here we go again" but the Boyz recovered. I can't complain about the defense at all today.

True. It would have been nice had the refs flagged the Texans on the 1st throw at the one that went to Dez. Texan player was tackling him before the ball got there.

Way. Before. And right in front of the ref. And the defender's head wasn't even sort of turned around. I have *no* idea how you blow a call like that, but it was a huge mistake.
