I believe he came in 2nd qrt all in all each lineman looked pretty decent tonight the O-line in general had their act together though out the ball game. It looked as if some guys busted thier ars to make the team.
Great, Dooms.

Here's one 'battle' that I could care less who "wins". Or who starts.

Dre is a winner just by playing center better than he played guard, and Al wins because the competition prolly pushed him.

LOL AnDRE Gurode?

Its just my whiteness. Im sorry. :D

I dont think he played tonight. From what I heard they played Al all game long. I might be mistaken but I think they did. I know he was playing well into the 3rd.

I think it could go either way to tell you the truth but at this point it does not matter to me because I know either way we have a good starting center and good depth behind him. Good luck to both guys

Yep, I can't wait to see how well he blocks against Kearse and Strahan. If he can slow those guys up long enough to give Bledsoe time, we will have found the last piece of the OL, imo. (Gurode and Johnson are interchangeable at center).

He's gonna have help with TE Campbell beside him helping to tie up Strahan, Berry, and Kearse in passing situations... he's gonna need it until he finds a regular season groove... I'm not too worried about his run blocking though... ;)

so our starting O-line can beat their 2nd stringers on defense...

I can't begin to tell you how thrilled I am...

from nfl.com under recap

The Cowboys (3-1) jumped ahead 10-0 with Drew Bledsoe, Jones and the rest of the first-string offense having their way with Jacksonville's second-team defense.

So what should we have done? Not played? Come on. I swear people. Either come on w/ the team or just get out of the way. Constantly finding something to moan about is freakin OLD already.

From the radio they said both he and Rob were doing great. Most of the runs were going right side for big holes and nice yardage.

40 carries for 216 yards tells me all I need to know, and one sack allowed speaks to good pass blocking as well...

Yeah, I know that the Jags were playin' it cautious, but we're talkin' about total domination of the line of scrimmage here...

If its so old. Why stick around? There are other bandwagons my friend.

Seriously tho. Folks are excited. I just think people coming in and stating pure obvious is meaningless. So what it was 2nd stringers. It was fun watching it. It was fun talking about it. We all had a great time in the "Official Game Thread". Maybe you should pop in and post in it. You might catch something. Some fun maybe. ;)

Dont you ever have any freakin fun? Sour grapes all the time? :(

I am not getting on your bandwagon friend so don't wait for me...

I have been serious and I see no need to be excited about an oline that beat up on scrubs...do you really find that impressive?

when they can do it to the best teams in the league than it is time to get excited....

as far as fun... have at it... I can have fun convincing myself and others that illusions are reality but in the end it was an illusion.

Every start of the season 90% and upward of the fans think his/her team is not gonna lose opening day...

Got to be excited about the O-line play tonight. We need this kind of confidence going into next week.

I've been impressed with Petitti's blocking the last couple of weeks, it's obvious he is progressing quickly. Right Tackle is one position that rookies can do well at, Shane Olivea last year, and Jordan Gross the year before are a couple good examples. One thing that I find encouraging is that Petitti made that transition from highschool to college right away, and actually dominated Dwight Freeny during his freshman year. Hopefully that is a sign that he is one of those guys that can make a quick adjustment to the next level, Lord knows he has the physical goods to match up with anyone.

Overall I think the O-line has improved week to week. There is still room for improvement.
