Can't believe they're not getting any more pub after upsetting WVU.
Looks like the Bulls are set at QB with Grothe.
Not to take anything away from USF as their defense played well.
But when your team is known for it's ground attack, when the teams ground attack consists of Pat White, Steve Slaton and Owen Schmitt and all three of those players have some kind of injury.
Well the die is cast.
At one time I thought they would go the rest of the way without losing a game, after the louisville game, now with those three injuries to their most important players I think they may lose a total of three games (Louisville, USF and now Rutgers) instead of just one.
White has two injuries, turf toe and sprained ankle, Slaton will have surgery on his wrist after the season which is what is causing him to fumble and Owen is only getting a few plays a game where before he was one of the main weapons on short yard runs.
So Congrats to the USF Bulls, your D played hard and they wanted it more, but they were helped a great deal by the lack of fire by WVU and the injuries to it's three headed ground game.
