How can our defense be this bad up front?

Is it just the scheme or have all these supposedly good D-Lineman fallen off a cliff? We have I think 4 D lineman who have made the pro bowl during their careers and they aren't playing worth a tinkers damn.

Well, I’ll give you a little help figuring out your problem here. Ya see, what happens when you mix one toxin with another? Does it get more toxic, or does it stay the same toxicity? It gets more toxic, right? That’s what’s happening here.

-bad schemes by Nolan
-a HC that doesn’t care
- a “who gives a kitty” culture created by Jerry Jones
-players phoning it in for a paycheck
-injuries
-little to no offseason work/training camp
-players that only care about social media and their brand
-no effort
-overpaid players

And there you have it. The most toxic thing known to man, aka, the Dallas Cowboys of 2020. Sources say the sting of one of these players could leave football fans lifeless in under 3 seconds...

I think that's a perfect summation. It really just seems like they don't care. The culture is beyond toxic.

It is the coaching and / or the scheme.

This defense, and basically the same players were not all that great, but they were horrible ether the past fe seasons.
Now they are horrible. What does that tell you.

Now they play stupid, so it could be they are too stupid to learn a new defense that quickly, with limited off season work. Still it is Nolan, no way it is not mostly on him.
Now it is on MM / Jerry to fire him over the bye week.

The linebackers are still the worst part of this defense.

Poe, for the most part, is doing exactly what he's being asked to do.

54 is what drives this whole train IMO. He’s killing the defense.

Ive watched a lot of football, played a lot of football in high school and college, I even scouted for college teams. I’ve never seen a player run away from contact so much.

Reminds me in high school when the 1s go against the scout team and the tackler is only there to boost his college resume

Does not matter what scheme you play this group is just not productive. Heck we said the same about Rod's scheme (and some will say we were a top 15 D), but the eye test told something different. That D sucked also.

I’ve never seen a player before, clap himself and celebrate when giving away a pass interference penalty... He needs benching or cutting.

How can they not be? The talent level of this DL is way overvalued by this forum.

Stop the insanity. Just because a player joins this team doesn't make him better and ask yourself this question, why was he available? They didn't fix this D, they barely tried.

I can’t remember a worse starting LB in pro football truthfully. I’ve seen lots of LB’s with no speed, undersized, etc, but never a starter that jumps up and down pregame to get the team pumped, that literally can’t play at all.

Every play on the run he steps up and pushes himself into the DT’s Instead of keeping his depth. Meanwhile the Guard is blocking both the DT and him while the RB is 3 yards away on the other gap. He loafs constantly, and has no instincts whatsoever. It’s like he’s never watched film ever.

I’ve never seen anything like it.

The Edge guys don’t know how to contain and the DT’s are awful.

The #54 dude behind them is worse.
The edge problems almost have to be scheme and, again, the LBs.

This is on LVE, because he's late to get the edge. If that's DLaw's edge responsibility, then the coaching is even worse than I thought, because there might not be a DE in football capable of containing Murray on a play like htat.

On the Kirk TD run, DLaw had absolutely 0 chance, because they're asking him to two-gap on that (1:30). Same thing happens to Griffen on an earlier Kyler run (1:05).

Was he asked to get stood up like a pillar of ****. Cut that lard azz now
