How can Ryan hide McCray this game?

Brees and his wrs must be salivating when they watch the tape on McCray. I give Ryan a ton of credit for how he has hidden many of our defciencies this year, I think McCray is the only one who has been completely exposed. That said, the Saints go down field as much as if not more than any team in the league. How will Ryan hide this guy?

Substitute in Moore or have Carr play some Safety as well.

Agree with you. I hope Sterling Moore can be used in the hybrid role of FS/CB like the Pats did and let McCray play just special teams.

NO likes to attack the seams. That is why Dallas safety play could determine the outcome. Just for this game - I am actually in favor of moving Carr over to safety and starting Mo and Jenkins at CB.

It is terrifying to think the things that Breese can do to this (1) Cowboy. We all saw how Pitt attacked McCray w/ Heath Miller last week.

Who here thinks the Saints Daniel Graham is better than Heath Miller?

Im telling you right now. They have watched and Danny McCray will get this defense killed if he has to cover the TE like he did last weekend.

My head hurts right just thinking about this.

The best place to hide him is on the bench. Hopefully Peprah will be back, but if not, I think Frampton will start at FS. He played both plays in OT at FS with McCray on the bench.

They put Sterling Moore in coverage on the TE in the 2nd half against the Steelers.

Agree!

McCray, Peprah, Moore, Frampton.

None of them are legitamite starting NFL safeties. The only way to hide their deficiencies is to be in the face of Drew Brees all day.

This is way we need to upgrade the position next year as described in the other thread.

We are going to have to put up 40+ points on the Saints to win. And the biggest reason why is because of terrible safety play by a bunch of backups.

I like this - McCray is less than zero at this point IMO.

Can we switch his jersey and name with someone elses....lol or we could just tell him the game is on tuesday:lmao2:

You can't. McCray will have to go out and do a better job. Brees will be throwing the ball all over the place and McCray and the rest of the secondary need to make some plays. You are not going to shut Brees down but if we can cause some mistakes and turnovers then our offense has a chance to put up some points on NO defense.

he can't. the only way we win this week is by playing keep away. run the ball. convert 3rd downs. keep their offense off the field. they will score a lot, because their strengths play right into our defensive weakness.

a Cover 3 scheme that rolls him out in a short zone with Sensi high and the two corners deep. Lots of ways to attack coverage but it answers your question how best to hide him. Add in that you need to change your coverages out of your looks...play man out of a Cover 3 look.

Personally, I'd like Carr in press so maybe let him play press man on his side and play a rotated Cover 3 (or a Cov4 short) to the other side.
