So, Super Bowl?

btw, I agree that we played the Giants better than the Jags.

Neither the Jags nor the Cowboys will make the Super Bowl this year.

I said that because all I have heard, even after the Jags beat the Giants last week was how they are contenders. No one really mentioned how bad the Giants were. But now that we dominated them (until garbage time, prevent defense showed up), now they are terrible. Funny how that works.

For as great as the Jags defense is, they are the ones who let Barkley loose on that 70-80yd TD. They let Beckham put up some good stats. In fact, Eli passed much better on them than he did us. He did absolutely nothing against us besides one good pass in the 3rd and a whole bunch of checkdowns to Barkley.

But it wasn't until we beat them that now they are terrible and our win doesn't count.

I've seen teams that were primarily defense win championships(The 70s Steelers, 85 Bears and the Ravens and Bucs in the early 2000s)but rarely if ever, do you see ones built the other way that do. It's nice to see that we've flipped the script and are now defense strong. The Cowboys are still a couple of pieces away from being there, but the makeup of this team is gonna keep us in alot of games going foward. Right now, I would say the Rams have the strongest team out there with Philly(w/Wentz) and the Vikes right behind. The AFC is weak this year.

After cleaning up the Giants and killing their hopes for season, how close are we this season to appear as NFC favorite against Jags/Pats.

Zeke for SB MVP?
Brice Butler with a helmet catch?
Brady throws a goal line interception Seahawks style?
Garrett creates a Dallas special which will be remembered by future generations?

Look down
You see that speck at your feet?

You don't?
That's how far we are

I think that this defense is definitely capable. There have been far worse defenses to win a Super Bowl. But those teams had really dynamic offenses (2009 Saints for instance). And on the other hand, there have been far worse offenses to win a Super Bowl (2000 Ravens, for instance), but those teams have had baller defenses.

If the offense can improve even in the slightest; by maybe a few more PPG, I think this team could be a contender. The only team I’m worried about in this conference right now are the Rams.

We are 1-1 and just beat one of the worst offenses in the league by a whopping 7 points. We now have 3 games in a row against teams that very well be in the bottom 5-6 offensive teams as well. I’m going to wait until we start playing some decent competition before I get overly excited about this defense.

If we had a Rodgers, Brees etc caliber QB, I'd say that possibility would be extremely high. Get rid of Dak and just plug in a top 12 NFL QB and I'd give us a great chance

Well, I'll repeat the consensus opinion on this and the now gone other message board.

The Cowboys are now in the rare air of the Lions, Browns, Texans et all. They'll never sniff a Super Bowl again.

Do I truly believe that? Not sure. I honestly don't think there's anyway to predict.

But I am a fan, I love my team. I'll let the chips fall where they may.

I honestly have no control over it.

This is the closest we will be for some time. It's in Atlanta this year but then Miami, then Tampa, then LA, so this is the closest we'll be for 4 years.

I don't even want to talk Superbowl until we prove that we can at least win one playoff game. It's a different game in the post season.
