How come no one is talking about Free?

how do you let Phillip Daniels beat you? dude is slooooow

but it was his 1st start and he didn't look like Rob Petitti, so that's good

No just another guy was pettiti. Remember him.
No. Petitti had no business on an NFL roster. There's nothing special about Free, but even that's way above what Petitti was. Petitti actually had a special place of honor on this board because his father came here and posted.

:laugh2: We had fans bragging that we had a late-round steal in that waste of space. He and Tucker (wasn't that his name) formed quite possibly the worst starting NFL tackle tandem I've ever seen.

Free seems to be getting a lot of pats on the back here simply because he wasn't a turnstile. He's hardly the long-term answer at left tackle.

alot of the Petitti hype was that he once shut out Dwight Freeney in college

manhandled him by most accounts

we all know why no one is talking about him here on this site.

He didnt do anything worth crying about. He played a good game.

The fans of our team wait for the players to make a mistake and then they never let them forget it and label them with it forever.

I noticed him. I called the post game show and told them I felt the had a good game. The host agreed. Free is a keeper, I think.

He made a very costly mistake.

:laugh2: at anyone who thinks Free played well.

Torrin Tucker.

And that Eagles fan that likes to post here called him a key loss when we opted not to re-sign him.

lulz.

ok explain to me what he did that was so wrong?

Let me clarify my opinion of Free. He might be a serviceable solution at RT but any celebration today is a bit premature.

Good game for him. We just might have a RT there-but remember its a whole different kettle of fish playing LEFT TACKLE. Just because you can play right well does not mean you can play left well.

RT is just not Free's position

he's sort of a finesse player

LT is his spot, he's long, lanky and a great athlete

I have far greater hope for him as Flo's replacement than the next RT, I think that job is Brewster's

Yep. He needs to built little bit more upper body strength in off season, to be a real good LT though in future. HE is opposite of Flozell. He will be good against Speed rushers and most likely might struggle against the Power rushers.

Not sure what to think of Brewster.

Looks like a guard but apparently was playing well at RT in camp.

If you can solve LT in 4 (Free) and RT in 3 (Brewster) that is a huge win.

To go along with UDFA Romo/Austin and 7th round Rat.

Many here have unrealistic expectations here for a young guy who played at a small college and is only in his 3rd season. If you hardly noticed him that probably means he played well. He did get beat on that 3rd down play but if Marion was a bit quicker to that hole (a notorious problem that he has) maybe he can pick up that 1st down anyways.

He is clearly in a different league than Tucker and Petiti who were little more than human pylons.

OT can take a long time to develop. I think everything is there for this guy to become a starting OT in this league. I think he starts the rest of the season at RT and then pushes Flo next year and maybe puts Flo into FA which is where he belongs.

WEll, till they see him on the field, I guess the team wont know for sure. But sure seems like Coaching staff was pretty high on him, before he got injured in off season. At least what they saw him in mini camps.

yep he did have a solid game. didnt give up a sack.

I saw Romo all twisted up and the guy came thru Free

not sure if it was a sack or not

Romo got hurt tackling Hall after he picked up a fumble on a run play that gained 4 yards on 2nd and 2 going in Free's direction.

Did you watch the game?
