Could it be we have a QB that finds his receivers instead of looking at the rush and gets the ball out on time?

Funny how much better that OL looked without Bledsoe in the game.;)

I'd also like to say, that I was wrong about Romo...we may just have a QB.

Its called pocket presence and moving around in the pocket. Oh and actually going to your hot reads.

Romo definitely made 6 to 8 really key plays that Bledsoe couldnt have made tonight....

its only one game, but I was extremely impressed with what Romo did...and the more success he has, the easier its gonna be to run the ball...we had 156 yds tonight despite having no runs over 14yds

Nobody, I may have underestimated Romo, but I was 100% right about Bledsoe and have been consistent since the day we started talking about signing him.;)

Romo also identified the Blitz coming when he was at the line. You can see him barking out to the RB's and pointing at the D as to where the blitz was coming.

He has great pocket presence.

The didn't blitz up the middle tonight.

That's what usually kills us.

I wonder how much is Romo?

I wonder how much is by the design of the Panthers.

You have to have some one QBing while grooming some one. Since we didn't do it when Troy was on his way out it took longer.:D If not for Parcells I would bet we still wouldn't have done it.

I wonder how much is by design of the Panthers BECAUSE of Romo.

I have said several times, that alot of the problems the OL was having, was Bledsoe not making pre snap reads and adjustments. What i didn't see tonight was any lineman turning out and leaving someone free to the inside. Romo was very active at the line and the line didn't make those types of mistakes. Also seemed the scheme was better tonight.. we might have righted the ship and this will be an interesting season now. HOW BOUT DEM COWBOYS!!

Can't that I never thought Romo would amount to nothing, but I did like Henson's potential better than Romo just because of Romo's penchant for turning the ball over.

But he did impress me a lot. One big thing that really have surprised me, that I didn't notice that much even in pre-season, was that great quick release he has. I mean he always gets that ball out quick, but his release like Madden said was a bit of surprise ( even in the Giants game).

I am not going to completely jump on the bandwagon right now completely. Have been bitten too much, with Quincy, Chad and Henson, by jumping on them too quickly. Maybe me not jumping too quickly is a good sign for Romo :D

I think that defenses knew that they had 4 seconds to get to the spot that they knoew Bledsoe would be. With Romo they had to hesitate a half step more because he can take off. I think he ran for 3 first downs tonight on 3rd downs. Giving Bledsoe the benefit of the doubt, he may have gotten 1 of those 3. That gives us a minimum of 2 more sets of downs that we wouldn't have had with Bledsoe.

Not to mention getting the ball out much quicker and saving the energy of the linemen by not having to hold their blocks for a few seconds more.

Did anybody notice they did the same blitz that the Giants got the safety on Bledsoe last week like 5-6 times?

They would just bring the LB right up to the D-Line and put him in between the DT's and let the guy loose. I think it was Thomas Davis in this game.

I'm the last one to take away credit from Romo, but he's not the primary reason thier blitz did not work.

Here's the real reason why and you guys not sitting might want to do that bfore reading this .

HERE IT GOES.....JUST ABOUT EVERY TIME THEY BLITZED..........WE HAD A GUY IN POSITION TO BLOCK THAT BLITZER. WHAT A FRIGGIN CONCEPT!
AND ANOTHER MORE IMPORTANT THING, WHEN WE DIDN'T HAVE A GUY FOR THAT BLITZER, OUR QB SAW IT AND ACTED ACCORDINGLY!

And it was Romo making protection calls to his TEs and RBs too.;)

Whoa Whoa! slow down people. Romo was great, I am thoroughly impressed, I think we just may have a new sheriff in town. He is still auditioning for the job permanently.

Here is some fact for you about the panthers. The panthers is not a big blitzing team, they do not have to do that. They have an outstanding/excellent front 4, which is the reason why they do not blitz much, if they do it at all.

Their front 4, even the front 7, those guys usually put pressure on teams from their regular base defense that is how good they are.

But our OL played very good tonight, I have said all along, right along with Parcells that our OL is/was not bad.

It was a combination of QB holding the ball too long, not reading the defense properly. watching the rush, and not following thru with the plays that are called, or too much improvising.

But there were times that the OL did miss assignments, or WRs did not get open, but our OL has always been as good as it looked tonight.

Plus there is one more thing I want to add, a QB can cause your whole team to play dead in the water like it did last Monday.
When that starts to happen too much, that means your team has lost faith in the QB, Bledsoe did/ does not have that upbeat/spark, excitement about him.

Our team needed some energy, and that is what Romo gives us along with all of the other things he brings to the table.
