How confident are y'all in run D

Hankins, Osa, LVE and 8 in the box seemed to work out well for them yesterday. We will see.

Dallas played quite a bit with LVE and Barr on the field. Dallas played lots of players yesterday, and outside of Maher, I didn't see many bad games on Dallas side of the ball.

too late to worry now, hope they come in and at least slow them down. give credit to get TB to get out of the run early because they were losing yards most of the runs were being stopped behind the LOS..the GP was to run and run enough to balance TB12 but our team came to load up on their run game ..crazy to see a qb that old throw it 66 times, thats nuts,.

yes the 9ers are very different run team, they are not a pro style run game, they come from everywhere to scheme run lanes with many skilled players. they create offense vs line up and try and pay man on man to open holes out of the backfield. so much zone motions getting you always and in chase mode..

they will wear out or big guys so beter bring more DL this game as i was surprised to see Galimore and BO out..

That's something they should have considered in the offseason when it's time to upgrade players. It's a personnel issue not a scheme issue. Yet these morons put absolutely no effort into upgrading DT.

Well yea…the Jones blow this every offseason.

But when LVE and Hanks are on the field I think we have a good chance of playing good run D.

The Bucs have the worst running game in the NFL.

I'm very concerned about the running game (and the screen game) against SF. It's their bread and butter and has been a weakness of our D.

Purdy being at QB makes it easier. LVE has been excellent in his drops covering the middle of the field which allows Wilson and Kearse to play up more. The gap assignments are more consistent with LVE.

Hankins will be key. Getting Gallimore off the field helped but Hankins is by far our best run defender and the more he can play the better we will be.

We just need to be efficient and not turn the ball over. Passing efficiently generates more points that running it efficiently.

Tampa has struggled to run the ball season. I’m not confident at all stopping the 49ers number one rushing offense. They’re so physical with McCafferty and Deebo who will definitely get some carries against the Cowboys. We’re going to have our work cut out for us. This is a terrible matchup for us, the matchup we all feared. This is a much better 49ers team than the one we faced in the playoffs last season.
