How Cowboys can sign Moss and Terrell Owens?

First of all, the Cowboys need to add more money on to the salary cap meaning, they would have to renegotiate some players contract, and trade some players off (i.e. Akin Adoyle, Kyle Kosier, Terry Glenn, and more). I believe Romo should get his contract renegotiated just like Aikman did to get Joey Galloway to be a Cowboy, Peyton Manning did to get Marvin Harrison, McNabb did to get Terrell Owens, and all the great quarterbacks did it.... Do this to free up cap space to make moves.

Thoughts?

Same way we could if we traded up and drafted McFadden

We dont need moss...Why does everybody want this guy?

All We need is to protect romo and get him a above average number 2 reciever. Moss and Owens would be to much pressure not only for them and the coaches, but ROMO. You know how much pressure Romo would be in.

Because he is one of if not the best WR of this generation. Because with him we could potentially break all the records that NE just set and have the best offense in the history of the league.

Because we can.

Moss is a one dimensional home run hitter. Im not gonna deny him as one of the best, but to say the best of a generation cause he can fill a highlight reel is b.s. He has no versatility in his play and it's easy to take him out of his game by simply getting physical with him at the LOS and forcing him to go in the middle of the field. Is he capable of playing in the slot and running slants and attacking the middle of the field? Yes. Can he run crisp routes if he put his effort into it? Maybe. But he spends 95% of his time just trying to beat coverage vertically cause he's scared to get hit by safeties on the inside.

Just based on the last 10 year alone.....

Harrison, Owens....even Steve Smith>>>>>>>Moss

And dont call me a homer cause I felt like that before he came here.

I don't think Dallas will nor do I think it is a good pairing putting those 2 on the same team. I think there are other options that are a better fit for the Cowboys than putting Moss and Owens together.

Harrison was drafted before Manning

I like the Moss deal, I would personally rather have Owens-Moss for a few years than McFadden and I am a big fan of McFadden.

Owens and Moss are two of the most dominant recievers of all time, both in the top 3 IMO. Adding both of them to your team would be incredible, people are forgeting one thing about them both and that is: they both want a ring. They can both get a ring in Dallas then there wont be a problem.

romo just got his contract, haha, why would he renegotiate already?

You do not think he would restructure his contract to get another weapon?

He will lose no money.

They would turn some of his base salary into bonus money, why wouldn't he want his money now rather than later?

Exactly. He'd do it just like every other big time QB (Aikman, Manning, Brady, etc) has done it.

It doesn't hurt Romo, at all, and helps the team.

Mike and Mike were discussing this this morning. They were arguing about how it could or couldn't work and said, if nothing else, it would be awesome to watch and hands down the best WR tandem in football history.

I just cant understand this thinking. Cant cant cant!
I'm not beating you up over it either because you're not alone!

Just cant grasp how teaming up Owens with Moss is a bad thing.

They're some valid reasons to not want to sign Moss. Cap ramifications could hurt going forward no doubt. But to take that only logical concern and try to twist it into a "these guys cant play together theory" is just rediculous

I don't think either guy cares for the other. You have 81 then you have the real 81. TO is the main target he knows this, Moss also knows in NE he is the main man neither guy is going to give that up. Neither of these guys will accept being the #2 WR on any team. I think in the end NE will get him resigned. I think there are better fits for the Cowboys than pairing up Moss and Owens. Frankly I would rather see Dallas look to the draft for a WR I think this is the perfect time since we have some solid weapons on offense right now so we would not be putting extreme pressure on a rookie WR while he adjust to the NFL game. As for the view being ridiculous that is your opinion I disagree

I don't believe there would have to be a #1 and #2 recieving problem, both guy's would be moved around, T.O. likes coming out of the slot and playing on the outside, Moss can move sides...both can move around, put up great numbers and just the presence of having both can scare teams so much - one has to be left in single coverage.
