How Dak plays is more important to the Cowboys than a win this weekend

The "team" has played well before, only to be held up by Dak's choking.
I expect them to play well Sunday night.
But it's Dak who will make the difference - either way.
The team has also been held up by bad defense, sp teams and coaching. Every aspect of the team has to play well to win.

Dak will lay another egg. He always does. Purdy is already better than Dak in his second season. I am predicting 2 picks and and the usual post game confusion and consternation despite this is what Dak does. It is his modus operandi and his DNA. Under pressure and even when not under pressure does really stupid things. The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior.
He has played well 3 out of 4 games this year... so I guess its not in his DNA. He's not perfect but he's definitely not as bad as you're making him out to be.

So relax, have fun and be a fan... its that simple. Some of yall take things way too seriously.

Sorry LB, usually I agree with you,but we need this win and dak needs to do what he's being paid to do and actually help win this game instead of choking..the 9ers have been an albatross around daks neck, more like a millstone,a plumbing stone, the last 2 years,it's way past time for him to remove it,if not,the mentality of this team will be shot,imo.. THEY MUST WIN.
If Dak chokes again, McCarthy's reign as head coach is probably nearing its end.
The blow to the Cowboys morale could cost McCarthy the locker room. No matter what they say in public, they all know that Dak has been the weak link.
Unless he shows that he has moved forward and will not choke, the season is over.
The Cowboys need to know they can count on Dak to be the player he's paid to be. That's more important than a win right now.

If Dak goes out there and torches a Top-3 team in the NFL on the road, that will definitely fuel the rest of the team for the season. Similar to the 2021 season opener when he played great against the defending champ Bucs. They lost the game that night but went on a winning streak that helped make their season.

Dak could play like crap and the team could win and I would be happy.

I care about the win more than Daks play.
Me too. I would be very unhappy if the team played great and Dak played like crap and we lost. That would be bad for a lot of reasons. I want a win. Who plays good or bad in that win doesn’t matter to me.

As far as Dak goes, his haters will have a field day if he causes us to lose. Also his haters will be quiet if we win. Dak can shut up a lot of people this weekend, including me, who thinks he can’t play with the big boys. I’m desperately hoping on Monday I can say I was completely wrong about Dak not being able to read zone defenses.

Dak playing well definitely matters. I want to see make new strides, but as long as we win, I could care less what his numbers look like.
I agree. I could care less about numbers and stats. If Dak plays horribly through 3 quarters but then brings us back and wins on a fourth quarter come from behind drive, Ala Houston last season, then I’ll be pumped for us and Dak.

Just win, screw everything else.

I don't think Jerry can sway San Francisco the way the Texans were.

If the Cowboys hope to take the next step this season and become a serious contender, the change in Dak Prescott under McCarthy has to show this weekend.
Dak has to lead the Cowboys and not shut down early, as has been his history.
Under McCarthy I have seen improvement from Dak in making plays, but whether or not he can continue to do that when the team needs him to be the reason they are better remains to be seen.
It truly isn't whether you win or lose, but how Dak play Sunday night will tell you if the Cowboys have a future this season.
Only for the haters like yourself.

So if Dak throws 5 TDs but the defense gives up 6 and we lose, you’d be more satisfied with that than a win where Dak does nothing and the defense dominates?

I could care less who’s the QB as long as the Cowboys win. That’s the difference between me and you.

These low IQ trolls have a hard time understanding that winning is the most important thing. It's a team game for everyone else except the Cowboys in their hollow minds.

For the Cowboys, it's a one man game according to their flawed and limited knowledge.

No, the difference between you and me, at least for this discussion, is that I care when the so-called "elite quarterback" chokes and costs the Cowboys seven seasons.
You keep cheering Dak no matter what.

Cannot score in the red zone. That is good?? When we get shellacked by SF, will you still be telling me to relax and have fun????
