20 million a year: if 1 and done he should be paid no more than slightly more than romo since that’ll mean he’s only as good or a little better than romo.
25 million a year: if they make the divisional round
30 million a year: if they make an NFC championship ship game since that’ll mean he’s outperformed all cowboys QBs for the past 2 decades
35-38 million a year: if they make the Super Bowl. The revenue from a Dallas Super Bowl alone will pay for dak’s contract 5 times. Also they will lose him to a team like Jacksonville if they don’t.
That's only if Jacksonville didn't already learn their lesson. This QB right now is worth backup money because that is what he is, a solid backup QB. If he doesn't show improvement it shouldn't matter how far the rest of the team takes us. At some point, and before they start paying him big money, he's going to have to show he can throw downfield with consistency to make defenses defend the entire field, not half of it. Not just throw quick slants, outs, dump offs and comebacks. If that's all he can do then he's not worth much.
