How Did Belichick Evolve When

Belichick coached under Parcells and against Gibbs in the late 70s and 80s. What has allowed Belichick to adapt and become a master at the game in the 21st century while Gibbs and Parcells are considered relics?

Is there a maximum age that someone can be in order to be effective as an NFL head coach? If so, why? Coaching is more of a cerebral battle then anything else so why shouldn't the years experience be the greatest deciding factor?

Bellichick was the defensive Genius behind Parcells it appears. And a lot of it is situations. Giants were loaded with Talent in that era. Gibbs was more a X AND 0 guy that had a lot of success with his brand of football.

I think the true answer is evolution of the game. Parcells and Gibbs are more stubborn and trying to fit their style of play into 2000 era football.

Bellichick failed with Browns and appears far more willing to adapt to the times, and his team. He really has no ego, and can adapt gameplans game to game, season to season.

It also helps that Brady, Seymour landed on his roster......

Little Bill failed in Cleveland...he had to go back to Big Bill for work.

Just think what that what do to any normal person's sanity(Big Bill always gave him **** about that) then multiply it by 5 because that is BB anal nature.

And BB got Parcells back on the map with Pats and Jets.

Parcells never won without Hoodie. BB > BP in the big coaching picture as history looks back.

No question. I think BB was so pissed he had to go back to BP that it made him into some kinda of a worse demon/anal coach than he already was. I watched him in Cleveland for those years and he flat out sucked bad as a coach. Cremel looks like Bill Walsh compared to little Bill's stint there.

Is that why Belichick went nuts after the AFC Championship meltdown against Indy last year and spent weeks hibernating and analyzing film immediately after the loss?

That plus they basically rebuild their offense as a mirror of what Indy runs...players plus alot of the same system.
