I didn't hear him called for any penalties and he made it thru the game. Permanent fixture at LG?

He certainly can be, he has to stay healthy obviously but he certainly has the talent to be an above average OG. And playing between Tyron and Frederick, he has no excuse not to be.

My honest opinion:
He missed 2 blocks{1 I doubt any G in the NFL gets too} BUT got to the 2nd level beyond quick. we'll see how it's goes on his recognition.... He was left uncovered a lot

He was solid, was great pulling, his issue has always been health.

And for a guy that weighs something like 350 and is playing between Tyron and Fred, he could be a monster when he really settles in and is comfortable with his assignments.

Also has he ever played Guard before? I thought I read he played some OG in college at Florida but I just spent a few minutes searching and it looks like all his college starts were at Tackle.

Overall he played well. Looked great at pulling and in space but after intial contact let defender loose and couldn't sustain block. Reached at times. Had he laid defenders out like Collins use to do at LG would be much better.

Again overall i liked what he did and he looked much better then preseason. I look forward to his development

He played well, but it's not a question of ability but availability. It's not if he gets injured, but when.

They were talking about it on talkin cowboys last week, they said he moved to guard do to injury during a game, they didn't say which game, and he played a total of one half of a college football game at guard

All the more impressive. Its all about his health obviously but when he is comfortable in the position he could be a beast. Leary had a practice squad year to adjust to OG and then an average to above average rookie year before he really took off.
