Seriously, the freaking Eagles have played this same defense against us in the past:omg:

How the hell did Coach Clapper and Staff have no idea what it was or how to counter it:huh:

This is just ineptitude beyond the scale of what should be acceptable at this level, just wow:facepalm:

The Wagles have played this defense since Jim Johnson roamed the sidelines. It's a load of crap.....

Of course they knew was it was. We've seen them face it before. For whatever reason, they weren't comfortable running off tackle stuff to the left with Cooper in there regularly, and they weren't willing to commit an extra blocker to that side on every single play. When they did, Green still wasn't able to get outside in time. Between the 6 sacks and the 3 holding calls, the offense was in a lot of 2nd and 3rd and forevers. Those don't convert with pressure off the blindside edge, as we saw.

The issue wasn't with the formation. The issue was not having a swing OT on the team capable of playing at even a stop-gap passable level.
