I didn't have a chance to see the game and really haven't read how Rob looked last night which is one of my main concerns.

Can any persons enlighten me here?

Much obliged.

The only sack we gave up came up the middle.

The kid is still improving with each start Sarge. Made a nice block on the JJ TD.

The ankle is still bothering him plus he suffered a thigh bruse......He's tough though, they re-taped his ankle, taped the thigh.....back in on the next series.

he did ok, no major gaffes or screw ups...he hurt his leg and gutted it out...

I think he'll start at RT but we'll probably have to help him alot early, especially on passing downs...for a guy that was basically an afterthought at the Senior Bowl and a 6th rd pick in April, I'd say we made out...Petitti will be a quality starter

Thanks guys - pretty encouraging. I really would like, as we all would, to see this kid be part of our future.

Class act and he's tough, which is just as important, if you want to play for BP.

:)

He was strong enough to push guys around while hobbling about on one leg.

Even when it seemed a guy had the edge on him, he was strong enough to push the guy past the QB.

He looks like a pretty typical starting RT to me right now.

On the play when Gary Walker collided with his teammate was an excellent example of that.

He played well, but I'm kind of worried about his ankle. Scales in the postgame show said he was really limping badly and could barely walk.

I hope at some point Parcells realizes he's shown some toughness already and lets it heal if need be... I really don't want to see Tucker on the field in San Diego. :(

This is really encouraging. I was very seriously concerned about RT, and still am, quite frankly, but it's nice to know we have a trooper out there willing to give his all, hurt and everything.

Good for Rob. He's a far crybaby, I mean cry, from J. Rogers.

I agree. I thought the same with ware. I was scared to death watching him limp around the field during gameplay and getting up gingerly every play.

:hammer:

I second that motion......Let the kid heal for a day or two....

This is good news to me. I was worried about the play of whomever started at RT. Hope he continues to keep getting better and be the guy.

Next years draft we should only really need a WR, OL, and possibly QB if nobody steps up.

IMO, he looked good last night. i thought his pass protection was outstanding. he opened the hole on JJ's TD run but i think he needs work in his run blocking. hopefully getting marco back next to him will help out a little in this area.

i just hope his injury isn't too bad..

I do not think it is his ankle. If I remember right Pittdawg said it was his foot.

Something about it being sore, and filling up with blood.

LB and NT depth are also on that list.

As much as Petitti needs playing time to learn, I would like to see him sit Thursdays game out so he can be ready for San Deigo.

I think his injury was a shin contusion? Where a blood vessle had broke...

Not sure if thats why he was limping last night though?

Pittdawg?
How is your boy?

It's not often that I disagree with you big guy, but IMO, IF (big if here) he is relatively healthy, I think he needs the invaluable time and should play thursday..

...and remember, I'm always right.

His ankles are "fatter" than a 300 lb Grandmother....they actually sag.

tell you what, this kid is our RT.

He played well last week and wasn't even that bad in week 1.

I saw calico's first two vids and this kid is getting better and better.

Throw in the fact that he seems to be a smart kid who will not do the dumb thing, and we are improved at that spot.

Between Davis and Petitti, it seems we have our two biggest questions, answered.
