How do they fix their offensive red zone issues?

Scheme is part of the solution, but need the players as well. Dowdle had just 3 rushing TD's, Ferguson had zero receiving TD's. They were among the league worst in pre-snap penalties.
do we live in bazrro world, Do we have a time machine I didn't even know they invented one are we going back and replaying all of last year???

because last I checked that was 2024 ,it has nothing to do with this year, it means nothing... your statements, the stats ,anything that happened last year, the team record , none of it carries over,

it's all new.

Most of us in here, we watched the whole season we we're not casual well most of us aren't we remember everything that happened last year...

we don't need a reminder, we don't need to know that it needs to improve but we also don't need to know that it's crazy that it couldn't improve...

So yes ,

there's a lot of unknown and that is the whole draw of sports it's the biggest reality TV shows, that's in existence you can't predict things most sports are this way that's why you keep coming back and watching because you're waiting for the surprise...

you're waiting for something you cannot predict,

right now, the Cowboys everywhere are 7.5 points are under that's what people are picking why because of last year but it has nothing to do with this year why have rankings why have charts why would all these people guessing on what's going happen,

when it's a completely different team now, you take away the injuries alone, and this team will be improved by default there's no way a healthy Cowboys team or relatively healthy Cowboys team will finish under eight wins ,when we had seven wins with a practice squad team, and the fact is Prescott's never had a losing season ,he's never had less than nine wins when he's Starts and finishes a season so playing a majority of the season......

So I'm going to go by that stat ,if we want to use stats and old wounds and bring up what happened last year or 2020 ,we could go to 2020 and realize Prescott nearly had his ankle ripped off which is a must worst injury than a hamstring, I realize it was a major hamstring injury but that's not the same as having your ankle snapped off and what do you do in 2021 ,2022, and 2023; had a great stretch of games but in 2021 the Cowboys went from 6 wins to 12 wins isn't that something....?????????????

PUT MAZI out there he likes to hit people! We can just hit people into the end zone!!

By changing out the entire coaching staff adding different players and running a new scheme
That alone will make the Red Zone offense much better. If they can cut down on the penalties and create an effective running game and have better play calling they will be gold.

Right like getting inside the 5 then 2 penalties it's first and goal at the 20 lol You remember that happened in the San Francisco game and the quarterback somehow got blamed 11 penalties on the offensive line you know how often they had to play behind the chains and then the three penalties on the defensive line I mean 14 penalties no run game offensive line wasn't good in the first place that's why it was holding a lot jumping off sides yet hey it's always a quarterback problem though...

Take the opposing defense and push them back in the end zone

Gets the job done everytime

As mentioned in my previous post, Cowboys offense ranked 2nd to last in red zone last season. Through my research last season, there were many things that contributed to their struggles:

-Negative plays (sacks, negative runs)
-Drive killing penalties
-Inability to run the football (league worst in rushing TD's)
-Turnovers

The loss of players like Dez, Zeke (early in his career), Shultz have really made to red zone offense suffer.

We need:

-Ferguson has return to his 2023 form, last year he didn't have a single touchdown.
-Need a back who has a nose for the end zone. New personnel, scheme should help.
-You could see why they had big interest in T-Mac, as he would of been a great red zone receiver. Could Mingo become this guy?
-Have to play more clean football from committing penalties, protecting the football
Playing clean woukd be a huge improvement. You can’t have penalties in redzone. An effective run game helps a lot even when you don’t run. It’s one more thing the D has to think about. Better play calling in the redzone. But it all comes down to execution

Well there's a reason why they addressed guard I didn't think they should do it but there's a reason that seemed to be the theme it wasn't about need it was about upgrading a position they already had a guy that can play there they believe Booker is better than Hoffman they could have went with Hoffman so they're looking to get the best 5 offensive lineman from game one and on not waiting eight games to figure out your plan going into the season was horrible the rotation at running back was horrible... The use of Turpin among other players you couldn't get it figured out I mean why wasn't Hunter used more on goal line if Zeke was washed there was a whole lot of problems and those problems get a reboot because we got rid of the coaching staff..

We don't know how well it's going to improve or not we don't know the future but they are trying to change things it starts with a new staff a new scheme and then they're working on the trenches...

In my opinion we had guys that could have done better early in the year if they had gave Rico more snaps, hunter more GL, Turpin/Vaughn unique RZ stuff , and they figured out the best five early on and not wait till the season's pretty much over and then oh maybe we should make these changes...

Instincts, intelligence, guts, you just know how to get open fast. And then the guy with the Moxie to throw it. TRUST

Dak gotta stop making bad redzone throws, Scheme, stop the busted assignments, stop the penalties, Mingo/Schoonmaker have to make plays, Williams/Mafa need to have a nose for the end zone, and Ferguson needs to get back to 2023 form.
Everything was bad last year, no positives outside our kicker.

depends on who you classify as dual threat. Is Caleb dual threat? I don't think so and bears were top 10
Bears had one of the worst OL's in football, which is why they spent a ton trying to fix it this year. Having a dual threat QB certainly makes it easier as teams cannot sell out to take away the back.

They don’t want attention on the real problem.

After receiver they’ll blame RB and Oline … then play calling….then the weather… then the fans.

They won’t mention Dak and Rush. The real problems.
Did I mention the turnovers and the sacks?

So to fix the problem, you ignore why they struggled cause it is a new year?

i think hunter luepke could help in this area, personally.
penalties is the big one.
cut down on those and run luepke.
designed plays for the te will help to.
but luepke and mafah should be the go to's.

The quickest fix is to get a legitimate QB. Nothing else matters.

Execution is important, but you still need the players to perform at a higher level. They couldn't run the football down there, couldn't protect their QB. They haven't made any significant personnel changes outside of Booker.

QB has to play better, but just two years ago they were scoring over a 60% rate, why such a downturn?
Players change around the QB. I don’t know….what’s Daks career red zone #s? I know he can’t throw a receiver open and that’s not debatable. I had to go check a few #s. Dak has always been terrible scoring TDs in the red zone. Checkmate!

Oline. But I've been saying offensively that's the main fix for dak. Second is runner last is pass catchers. There was no dez or Megatron on dallas in 22 or 23
